1. NOTEBOOK REQUIREMENTS
Your notebook is an organizational tool to assist you in your art class. It is a place to
keep notes, handouts, and quizzes from the class. Periodically you will be required to
turn in you notebook for a “notebook grade”. Each notebook grade is based on the
number of items to be included between each grade check. Maximum points for this
grade should be easy to attain by following the requirements and expectations below.
However, many students do not receive these easy points because they fail to stay
organized or fail to follow the notebook guidelines.
• Fill out the table of contents sheet of required pages for the notebook.
(These will be written on the table of contents chart posted in the room)
• Hole punch and insert all items in the order listed on the table of
contents sheet. (Unlisted items can be left in the folder pocket)
• Place your organized notebook in the finished work drawer on the day it
is due. Only notebooks in the finished work drawer will be evaluated.
QUOTESHEET GUIDELINES
Each week a quote will be placed on the marker board. Usually the quote will deal with
art or an art related concept. Sometime during the week, usually before a class begins
or after class work is complete, you are to copy the quote down on the quote sheets
placed in your notebook. The requirements follow:
• Write the beginning date of each week in the date space provided.
• In the quote box, copy the quote from the marker board.
• In the response box, respond to the quote in one of three ways:
1. What do you think the quote means to you? Explain.
2. Do you agree with the quote? Why?
3. Do you disagree with the quote? Why
***No response is wrong as long as you support what you say!!!
