Greg didn’t fully start his career as a wildlife
photographer until he was in his 30’s. But, when he
was younger his dad taught him a little about
photography. All year round he works as a personal
trainer to make ends meet. Every year he saves up as
much money possible to buy a new piece of equipment
for photography.
2. Career info:
-Wildlife photography focuses solely on taking photos of animals
and the outdoors.
-Wildlife photography is considered one of the challenging type
of photography.
-Wildlife photography invovles travel.
-Requires a lot of equipment to not suck.
-You will need a tripod.
-When you first start off as a photographer you will probably
wont be able to pay the bills. So you will need to get another job
as well as being a wildlife photographer.
Usually to get a decent job you may need a college degree. If
one is a freelance photographer your salary will vary. And
according to the U.S bureau of Labor & Statics the average
salary of a wildlife photographer was $17.47 per hour and $36,330
per year.

was the first person to reply with good tips and
advice about wildlife photography. Also, his shots
really grabbed my attention. He has amazing action
shots & I aspire to take shots like his.

•I want to be a photographer because I want to see the unseen.

•I now that being a wildlife photographerwont be easy. But, I really want to peruse this as a career. And I'm
interestedin wildlife photography because if I like what I would be doing (wildlifephotography) I will never
work a day in my life.

• Some trends I see in the photographic industry is that more and more people are getting interested and
trying to become a successfulphotographer.

•Some of my weak nesses are that sometimes I don’t communicate well.
•How important is technology in your field? How do you plan to implement it?
•Technologyis very important in my filed of photography. I plan to use as much equipment as possible.

•My long range goals are in 3-4 years I will have a stable, god paying job taking photos.

•I believe I have been pretty successfulso far. My family and friends are always asking me to take photos.

•My professionaltold me that he would look over my portfolio and critique me. He told me that being a
wildlifephotographer is expensive and wont pay the bills.
