3. ONE GOD – THE TRINITY: We as Catholics believe in
one God, but that he is composed of three distinct
persons.
The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, the son
of the Father, our
Savior.
The Holy Spirit is our helper, and he is the Spirit of
guidance and direction. The Spirit purifies us, gives
us repentance and helps us to have a good confession
and lead a holy life and helps us to become saints. It
is the same spirit who rose Jesus on the Easter day.

TITLE of GOD -
The holy one of Israel
➢ Jesus is called “the Holy One of God.”
➢ We are made holy because of our relationship
with Jesus. Jesus is the one who bridges the gap
between a holy God and sinful human beings.
➢ SIN is taken by SON (Jesus).
➢ Jesus is the one who makes us holy, enabling us
to stand in God’s presence and join the angels as
they sing “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord.”
➢Today we get the grace from Jesus through
the Sacraments in the church.

5. The 10 commandments- rules for a good Christian life
1. “I am the Lord your God, you shall not
have any other strange gods before Me.”
2.“You shall not take the name of the Lord
your God in vain.”
3. “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath
day.”
4. “Honor your father and mother.”
5. “You shall not kill.”
6. “You shall not commit adultery.”
7. “You shall not steal.”
8. “You shall not give false witness against
your neighbor.”
9. “You shalt not covet your neighbor’s
wife.”
10. “You shalt not covet your neighbor’s
goods.”

6. + Do I believe in God?
+ Do I give time to GOD everyday
in prayer?
+ Do I try to give 1st priority to
God?
+ Do I take God seriously?
+ Be humble and thankful in
front of God.
+ Do I trust God that he is
powerful enough to take care of
my needs, or do I sometimes feel
so hopeless and worry
unnecessarily?

Tip: Love God, Trust in God, spend time with God like a
friend/father. Ask God to give a special experience of Him.
“I am the Lord your God, you shall not
have any other strange gods before Me.”
Jesus Christ is the only true God with His Father and the Holy Spirit.

Tip : Call God’s name with love. Say the prayer –
“Father I love you, Jesus, I love you”
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God
in vain.”

9. RESPECT GOD’s NAME and GOD’s PEOPLE

10. + Spend time with God on
Sundays (day on which Christ
resurrected).
+ Go to Mass, spend time to
read Bible, to pray and rest.
+ Attend Mass with respect
and pay attention during
Mass.
+ Wear modest dress to
church, be careful about your
dressing.
+ Give importance to time
you spend with God, consider
God as important and No:1
person in your life.
!! Do you miss H. Mass on
Sundays?
!! Do you arrive late to H. Mass?
!! Do you attend Mass carelessly
and show a bad example for
others?
!! Do you spend maximum time
for work or other activities like
sports or games on Sundays?
!! Did you disturb other people’s
or friends’ prayers or while they
attend Mass?

Tip : Wait for next the Sunday to come and do something special for God.
Make Sundays the most important day of your life. Remind your parents.
“Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.”

+ Love and respect your
parents and grandparents,
brothers and sisters, also
when you become adults.
+ Say sorry to them if you
think you’ve hurted them.
+ Be thankful to them.
+ Be a good example to your
brothers and sisters.
+ Respect others in authority-
priests, nuns, police, old
people.
!! Do not disobey or hurt your
parents.
!! Do I always neglect their words?
!! Did I forget to thank God for my
parents and also pray for them daily?
!! Did I mistreat them by word or
thoughts or deeds?
!! Did I not help them when I could?
!! Was I not ready to spend time with
my parents or family when they
wanted me?
!! Did I bully my parents or brothers
or sisters?

Tip : You did not choose them, but they’re God’s gift for you.

!! Do I enjoy when I see murder
movies and cruel stuff?
!! Do I understand that abortion is a
sin?

Tip : Say sorry to someone you hurted by words. Avoid cruel movies and
games as much as possible.
“You shall not kill.”

and respect.
+ Treat other peoples’ body

peoples life is a gift of God?

and my beauty?

heart is more important than
outside beauty?

+ Am I modest in the clothes I
wear and in my words?
!! Have I used bad words or swear
words?
!! Do I look at TV shows, movies or
pictures that are bad?
!! Do I ever share or spread bad
things to my friends or relatives or
brothers or sisters?
[!! This commandment forbids sex
between unmarried people and
homosexuality, masturbation etc].

Tip : Next time you look in the mirror, thank God for your beauty.
“You shall not commit adultery.”

18. + Respect and honor other
people’s belongings.
+ Practice modesty, and only
buy what is really needed for
me.
+ Make it a practice to help
the poor and the needy.
+ Depend on God and pray for
God’s blessings in all needs.
!! Did I take anything that did not
belong to me from a store or another
person?
!! Did I destroy or misuse other
person’s property (for fun)?
!! Do I return things that I borrow, in
good condition?
!! Do I spend maximum money and
time for luxury and too much food
and drinks and parties, and only for
my needs and forget the poor and the
needy? Am I too selfish?
!! Am I lazy to work hard and
irresponsible towards my
responsibilities? Do I waste my time
being lazy?
!! Do I cheat other people (or in taxes)
etc. ?

Tip : Next time you need a toy or a stuff for fun, think twice. If possible
sacrifice that and give the money to a poor person or offer it in the church.
“You shall not steal.”

+ Do I stand for truth?
+ Am I honest to myself and
in front of my parents and
others?
+ Do I have the same face at
school and home and when I
am with friends?
+ Am I honest in my school
work?
+ Do I mean YES when I say
Yes and NO when I say No.
+ Do I keep my promises and
words?
!! Do I tell lies?
!! Do I tell lies to make myself look
good?
!! Do I tell lies to protect myself from
punishments?
!! Do I tell lies to spoil someone's
image -gossip ?
!! Do I spread bad stories about other
people?
!! Do I tell lies that make another
person look bad or get them in
trouble?
!! Do I cheat with my words?
!! Do I make false promises and make
others simply wait?

Tip : Next time your friend has a trouble, stand for the truth, and speak truth.
[Jesus is Truth and his WORDs and truth. Read Bible-John Chapter 14].
“You shall not give false witness against your
neighbor.”

20. + Do I consider marriage as
holy and pray for unity
between my parents?
+ Do I help the marriage
between my parents? Or do I
make their unity worse?
+ Do I allow my parents to
spend time with one another,
or do I get jealous and want
them to pay attention only to
me?
!! Do I get mad when I’ve to share
with my friends?
!! Am I ready to share my
parents’ love with my brothers
and sisters?
!! Is there any friends I will not
play with or be mean because
they look different?

Tip : Ask your parents the date of their marriage. Pray to God for their
marriage, and also start praying for your call/vocation.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.”

21. + Thank God for my house,
and all that he has given
me.
+ Count my blessings and
be happy with what I
have.
+ Am I thankful to God for
my parents and what they
have given me?
!! Do I want to buy or get
anything you see in your
friends’ hands, even if I don’t
really need it?
!! Am I jealous of the things or
abilities that others have?
!! Do I share my things with
my family, friends and poor
people?

Tip : Write down all the blessings you have and thank God for them.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.”
