This document is a survey report submitted by Suchet Mahajan, a student of Chitkara College of Sale and Retail Marketing. The report summarizes Mahajan's findings from a 5-day survey conducted in villages in Punjab, India. Key findings include: literacy rates are low due to a lack of schools; most villagers' primary occupation is farming and secondary occupations include non-agricultural labor; and infrastructure like roads, electricity, and water facilities are inadequate. The report also describes challenges faced during the survey like language barriers and transportation issues. Mahajan concludes the villagers need improved access to education, healthcare, employment, and basic infrastructure.

This document summarizes a research project that explored children and young people's experiences of the 2013/14 UK winter floods. The researchers worked with two groups of flood-affected children ages 6-12 and young people ages 11-15 from different areas that experienced flooding. Through creative workshops, the children articulated their experiences and recommendations. Six key themes emerged from their perspectives: needing greater flood awareness and education; understanding losses experienced; difficulties recovering long-term; feeling isolated; seeing children as active contributors rather than just victims; and recognizing the need for adaptation. The children produced manifestos outlining recommendations in recovery, resilience, and education. The researchers conclude that children's insights are valuable but often overlooked, and their participation in emergency planning

Priyanka Gandhi targets Modi again, this time on Gujarat model and RSVP remarkpressbrief365
Priyanka Gandhi criticized Narendra Modi's remarks about the Congress party following an "RSVP model" of Rahul, Sonia, Vadra, and Priyanka. She questioned Modi's claims about the Gujarat development model and asked him to specify his plans for farmers, laborers, and women. Priyanka urged the people to question leaders about their development plans and issues rather than empty slogans. She asked people to vote based on the nation's interests, not personal interests, and support the Congress party which has always fought for national unity.

This study evaluated the Kisan Call Centre scheme in Bihar, which provides farmers information via a toll-free phone number. Interviews with 8 farmers found that while aware of the service, most did not use it and were unsatisfied with the support provided. Farmers reported that experts did not adequately address their problems and recommendations like sending photos were impractical. The study concluded that such government services must conduct proper user research and address local needs through methods like village-level awareness campaigns and feedback systems to be effective.
The document summarizes a rural internship conducted from June 1-21, 2015 with an NGO called Maa Prema Organization outside of Visakhapatnam, India. The internship had objectives of understanding rural problems, development concepts, and life without technology. Projects included distributing supplies, providing education, planting trees, and blood donation. Challenges included transportation and communication issues. The intern learned about rural vs. urban life and teaching skills. Recommendations included supporting volunteers and using biodegradable materials.
The document discusses the future of customer experience. It begins by explaining that every interaction a customer has with a company, such as shipping a package or calling an insurance provider, is part of a service system. Good service design can transform a company's image and improve people's lives. The document then discusses how companies are now focusing on customer experience, which encompasses the full interaction from first hearing about a company to receiving a product. It also discusses how customers hire products and services to get jobs done in their lives, not just buy products.

This document discusses design for social impact projects in developing areas. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the local context and problem before proposing solutions. Case studies from mAgri and mHealth projects in Malawi show that multiple design research trips were needed to fully understand user needs and technological literacy. Feedback from farmers in Malawi showed that the mobile agricultural tips increased their harvests and understanding of problems. The document advocates designing for multi-user scenarios and constraints beyond just technology.
To understand the Voting Behavior of the Urban Youth (India)Arveen Shaheel
With India going into elections in 2014, there’s been a constant buzz and unavoidable conversations about Politics. People have shifted from indifference & resentment towards politics, to talking about the subject & finally finding solutions. With majority of Indians comprising of the Youth, we believed they held the key to unlocking the future of politics; & their thought process is one, that no longer can the Political Parties ignore.
It’s this idea that inspired us to go ahead with our research which is- “To understand the Voting Behavior of the Urban Youth”.
As an aspiring marketer reading books can take me up to a certain level; beyond that it is only observation of people, brands, culture and stories. Taking this aspect in my mind I have ventured into a weekly publishing of all my observations, stories and ideas.

SOME SUGGESTION
The survey was very good. It was challenging but overall its good experience. It teaches us many things
which are very helpful in the future like how to conduct market research, how to meet with people and how
to tackle the difficult situations. But there are some suggestions from me which will make this survey more
easily in the future.
1. Internet pack or tab is 2G enabled sometime it lost network. It create problem so the reason behind I
lost my lots of time.
2. Tab is frozen or hanged to many time and also please fix the bugs of public plus application.
3. Randomly sampling list is not up to date.
4. As per our Indian constitution we have no right to ask question like who you vote, whom to cast the
vote in 2017.
5. The purpose of the survey was not completely clear to the students such as what is the motive behind
this survey, when we ask them questions like to whom you cast the vote in the past 2012 lok sabha
election. They think that we are coming from particular political party.
6. Supervisors are not motivator they have no etiquette like how to talk with someone. They always
demotivate us.
7. There should be at least two person in every booth that mean it is easy to complete the task in
efficient way
8. The question like what to do for HINDU community is really irrelevant.

PROBLEM FACED DURING SURVEY
In every research problem is the part of the research or survey. In a every day, every hour every minute or
even every second we face and resolve it. Same as in our survey I am facing to many problem some time I
resolve it easily and some time it took some time because they are gigantic.
Distance for village is very far from main road.
Lack of training and even no DEMOSTRATION related to survey.
People are hesitate to give answer related to political question they always say you are MBA
STUDENT AND YOU EVEN DON’T KNOW THIS TYPE OF QUESTION IS NOT ASKED TO
BE ANYONE as per our Indian constitution.
People are afraid to me they always think I am govt. employer.
Language barriers like I am unable to read and write Punajbi but VSKM consulting providing
Punajbi language tablet.
People leave their village such as seasonal migration people.
Most people migrated to somewhere else for job.
Some of the address is wrong.
People are hesitate to give their own phone number
Some people don’t have any phone or mobile.
Some people died.
Randomly list provided by the company is irrelevant.

FINDING AND CONCLUSION
The village study enabled me in studying the various aspects of the village life. We came to know
various things knowing which perhaps were not possible without staying in the village among the rural
population. My stay helped me to understand the lives of the villager, their need and various dynamics
relating to it. The First-hand experience is how they sustain their livelihood, which kind of difficulties
they face for livelihood and other expenses of household. And we also saw the various development
plans running in the village and impact of it helped me to sharpen my understanding of these plans and
ground realities associated with them. It’s easy to stay outside the village and suggests various means for
the development of village but the real picture is quite different in the village. The village do have its bright
colour which is absent in urban areas, even in many developed cities of the country. The facts like
equality between different castes, female position in the house, unity among villagers etc. are among
some of the positive aspects of the village. Still there is sufficient scope of improvements in the
village related to the providing of livelihood opportunity to the villagers. We can say that providing
subsidies will not help but what the villagers actually needed is the information and knowledge about their
products, their value and their demand in the outside market, so that they could get appropriate return for
their hard work.
THINGS THEY NEED:
Need of the school, college and hospital.
Drainage facility.
Street light need.
Employment.
Rehabitation centre for removing drugs
Infrastructure facility.
Electricity and clean water facility
