13. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
The project aimed to promote and commercialize soya
products in Quirino province. Knowing the health,
economic and social benefits these soya products could
give, this was implemented to offer an alternative source
of protein in the diet. Farmers were encouraged to
produce soya bean to support the need of raw material
of these soya product processors.
14. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
There were ten soya farmers assisted technically and
financially to produce soya bean, using the package of
technology on soya bean production. Though there
were 60 interested farmers who were capacitated on
soya bean production as initial accomplishment of the
project team. A positive cost benefit ratio was attained
using partial budget analysis on soya production.
15. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
There were two individuals, one association and
business company who were trained and technically
assisted on the production and processing of these
soya products. Twelve technology licensing
agreements were forged between the university as
technology generator and these soya products
adoptors. They are now actively doing the
commercialization aspect of the project.
16. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Soya products that are now utilized at the feeding
program of Dep-Ed and DSWD include pan de soya,
soya butterscotch and soya milk. A gross sales of more
than five million worth of soya products was already
noted as compounded output of soya product adoptors
who are doing the commercialization aspect of the
project.
