Hewlett-Packard (HP) was established in 1939 in Palo Alto, CA by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. HP operates in more than 170 countries and helps people and companies address problems and realize possibilities through technology. HP started in a garage with an initial $538 investment. It became one of the first companies to market a personal computer and later expanded into printers, scanners, and networking hardware. Major acquisitions included Compaq in 2002 and Palm in 2010, making HP a leader in PCs, servers, and mobile technology.
