2. Aisling Discoveries Child and Family Centre is an
organization which supports the community.
“Aisling" means vision or dream in Irish.
The name was chosen because of the meaning of
the word “Aisling:” hope for a brighter future for
the children.
Provides responsive services in partnership with
families and communities to strengthen the social
and emotional well-being of children and promote
their healthy development.
3. It was created on June 30, 1998 with the joining of
Discoveries Child and Family Centre and Aisling
Centre for Children and Families.
The joining of these two agencies brought together a
rich history of dedicated service to children and
families.

9. Services are provided to children from birth to 12
years of age.
For children with dual disorganized autism the age
can go up to 18 years.
Usually once the family feels they have achieved
what they came for they will stop receiving services.
Sometimes it’s an ongoing service until the children
get transferred to different organizations through
their schools.
