renewed in our faith that
our light might ever shine.

The light of Christ is found in all
that is good and right and true.
People:
We gather for worship that we
might do what is good and right
and true to Christ.
All:
We come to worship
to celebrate and
give thanks to God.
Let us lift our
voices in praise!
Praise to the Lord,
the Almighty

Praise to the Lord,
the Almighty,
the King of Creation!
O my soul praise him,
for he is thy health
and salvation!
All ye who hear, now
to his temple draw near;
join me in glad adoration.
Praise to the Lord,
who o’er all things so
wondrously reigning
bears thee on eagle’s wings,
e’er in his keeping
maintaining.
God’s care enfolds
all, whose true good
he upholds.
Hast thou not known
his sustaining?
Praise to the Lord,
who doth prosper thy work
and defend thee;
surely his goodness
and mercy
here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew
what the Almighty can do,
who with his love
doth befriend thee.
Praise to the Lord,
who doth nourish thy
life
and restore thee,
fitting thee well
for the tasks that
are ever before thee.
Then to thy need
God as a mother
doth speed,
spreading the wings
of grace o’er thee.
Praise to the Lord!
O let all that is
in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises
before him!
Let the amen
sound from
his people again;
Gladly forever adore him.

People:
Merciful God,
We confess that
we have not loved you
with our whole heart.
We have failed to be
an obedient church.
We have not done your will,
we have broken your law,
we have rebelled
against your love,
we have not loved
our neighbors,
and we have not heard
the cry of the needy.
Forgive us, we pray.
Free us for joyful obedience,
through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.
People to Leader:
In the name of Jesus Christ, you
are forgiven.
All:
Glory to God!
The Great Thanksgiving
Leader:
The Lord be with you.
All:
And also with you.
Leader:
Lift up your hearts.
All:
We lift them up to the Lord.
All:
It is right to give
our thanks and praise.
All:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are
full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes
in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
All:
Christ has died;
Christ is risen;
Christ will come again.
In Unison:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is
in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who
trespass against us.
And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
forever. Amen.
Go live until the
Prayer following Communion
In Unison:
Eternal God, we give you
thanks for this holy mystery
in which you have given
yourself to us.
Grant that we may go
into the world in the strength
of your Spirit,
to give ourselves for others,
in the name of Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Amen.
Lord, You Have Come
to the Lakeshore
Words: Cesareo Gabaraín; trans. by Gertrude C. Suppe, George Lockwood, and Rachel Gutiérrez-Achon, 1987 (Mt. 4:18-22, Mt. 1:16-20, Lk. 5:1-11); Music:

Lord, you have come to the
lakeshore
looking neither for wealthy nor wise
ones.
you only asked me to follow
humbly.
O Lord, with your eyes you have
searched me,
and while smiling have spoken my
name;
now my boats left on the shoreline
behind me;
by your side I will seek other seas.
You know so well my
possessions;
my boat carries no gold
and no weapons.
you will find there my nets
and labor.
O Lord, with your eyes you have
searched me,
and while smiling have spoken
my name;
now my boat’s left on the
shoreline behind me;
by your side I will seek other
seas.
You need my hands, full of
caring
through my labors to give others
rest
and constant love, that keeps on
loving.
O Lord, with your eyes you have
searched me,
and while smiling have spoken
my name;
now my boat’s left on the
shoreline behind me;
by your side I will seek other
seas.
You, who have fished other
oceans
ever longed for by souls who are
waiting,
my loving friend, as thus you call
me.
O Lord, with your eyes you have
searched me,
and while smiling have spoken
my name;
now my boat’s left on the
shoreline behind me;
by your side I will seek other
seas.
