It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

4. Sermon Notes
The Discipline of Submission
Praise the Lord for this past week of senior high Camp Mayfield. Thank the
Lord for the spiritual work in each camper’s life. Pray that each student will
live out their commitments in this coming year.
Thank the Lord that we can serve Jesus by serving those in need. Consider
how you might be the arms and feet of Jesus through doing “random acts of
kindness” for people around you.
Enter into a time of meditation and reflection on the disciplines we have
studied this summer: Celebration, Solitude, Silence, Service, Fellowship,
Study, Sacrifice, Confession, Frugality, Simplicity and Submission. Which of
these disciplines is the Lord asking you to practice in order to grow in your
relationship with Him and in His character? Ask Him to guide you as you obey
His leading.
Pray for those we will be serving in our community and through projects here
at the church facility next Sunday on Love in Action Sunday. Ask the lord to
use us to be a positive influence for His Kingdom in this world and that the
hearts of those we serve will be drawn to Him.
Pray for our president, congress and courts. Ask God to work through these
structures, through people who do not actively follow His leadership and
through Christian leaders to bring about righteous decisions. Pray that He
would exert His authority in the power structures of our society to fulfill His
purposes.
Pray for Bill Copeland along with other members and friends of our church
family who are suffering from chronic illnesses. Pray for those recovering
from recent surgeries. And pray for those under hospice care and for those
who have recently suffered the death of loved ones.
