This document outlines the concepts behind Results Washington, an initiative to drive results in government through data and collaboration. It describes 8 key concepts: having a single strategic direction set by the Governor; building partnerships; facilitating open conversations; engaging stakeholders; focusing on customer needs; encouraging transformation; promoting transparency; and creating a positive experience for partner agencies. The concepts are meant to align all levels of government with the Governor's goals and give agencies tools to track progress and connect employees' work to broader objectives. Challenges including overcoming fear of change are also discussed.
