t Pray for Nelvie VanKampen who is in the hospital (as of this writing)
with double pneumonia, dehydration and difficulty breathing.
t Pray for continued healing for Mary Walters who had hernia surgery
on 5/2 and for Dave Timmer who had surgery last Friday at U of M.
t Pray for healing for Jim DeFrell’s mom, Arlene, who had hip replacement last
Wednesday.
t Pray for Marueen Cooke’s great granddaughter, Reagan, who was born on 5/3 at
33 weeks weighing 4 lbs. 11 oz. and is at DeVos Children’s Hospital in the neonatal
unit. Also pray for Reagan’s mom/Maureen’s granddaughter, Kaitlin Bowman.
t Pray for safe travels and a wonderful reunion for Rex, Pam, and Kari DeBoer as
they leave on Tuesday for South Carolina for Kelly’s military graduation.
t Praise the Lord and congratulations to Candy Lynch and Terry Bowersox who were
married at the church on May 4 and to Nancy Goodrich and Denny Grabill who were
married on May 11.

REGISTRATION
REGISTER YOUR KIDS TODAY FOR VBS!
Pick up a registration form (one per family) at the
VBS table in the Fellowship Hall. VBS is for kids
entering K-6th grade this fall. It will be held from June 17-June 21
at the church from 9:15 a.m. to noon. Completed forms can be
placed in the tray on the VBS table, given to Amanda Zandstra
or turned in at the church office.

Our Bolivia Mission Team continues to raise funds for their upcoming trip. If you or
someone you know, are looking for computer services, please contact Claudio Burgos.
The Bolivia Team is offering computer repairs, upgrades, home network setup, virus
removal, etc. for a donation in order to raise funds for their Bolivia mission trip.

Join the Parkside Runners/Walkers who meet at Mt. Pisgah out
by Ottawa Beach next to Dune Dogs every Tuesday evening at
6:00 p.m. Run the 239 steps and the 1.3 mile trail or just take your
time walking! It’s a beautiful view of Lake Mac and Lake Michigan
from the top.
If you’re interested in participating in the Bolivia Mission
Trip 5K Fun Run/Walk fundraiser on June 8 or just want
to begin to run or renew your running, consider joining the
“True Couch to 5K” class. The group meets on Thursday
evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the church parking lot.

MEMORIAL CLASSIC
The Roger Kuiken Memorial Classic
will be held this Saturday, May 18,
at The Meadows at Grand Valley
University in Allendale with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The cost
is $59 and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, use of the practice
facility with range balls, prizes, dinner, and great fellowship! The
event is open to men and women of all ages! You can sign up
alone or make up your own team. All proceeds go toward the
2013 Bolivia Mission Trip which will see 25 youth and adults
ministering in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, this August. Pick up a
registration form at the Youth Counter. Today is the deadline to
register. Complete and turn in your entry form today.

OUR COMMITMENT
As Christian parents, we take seriously our responsibility to raise any children God
entrusts to us in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is our desire to publicly
declare that commitment, as a testimony of our complete dependence on the Wisdom
found in God's Word, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, for success in our role as the
parents and spiritual guardians of our children.
We also pray that our public commitment to godly parenting will remind other parents of
their great privilege and responsibility before God. We understand that no supernatural
grace or benefit is imparted to our child through this dedication service, but rather we are
pledging ourselves, as Christian parents, to exert every possible godly influence on this
child; to demonstrate to him/her, by our godly example, the power and truth of the Gospel
of Jesus Christ; to endeavor to lead him/her to a saving faith in the Savior; and to faithfully
teach our child the precious truths contained in the Word of God.
We request the blessing and support of our Church Family to help us to “train up our
child in the way he should go.” (Prov.22:6)
