3. New Prayer Requests:
t Pray for continued healing for Cassandra Tookeâs parents who
were both severely injured in a semi accident in Alabama on 9/24
but are home now. They will be receiving home health care and a
lot of rehab. Pray for continued healing along with openness to
the Gospel and Christâs love through others.
t Pray for good results for Al Tennant who had an MRI on Friday due to
severe sharp pain in his head.
t Pray for good results for Dave Timmer as he has a PET scans at Cancer
Treatment Centers of America tomorrow and pray also for a successful
treatment plan.
t Pray for Al & Ginny Peteâs daughter, Lynn Albachten, from Allendale who
just learned she has breast cancer. Pray for peace for her and the family
as they await a date for surgery.

t For all who have had recent illnesses or surgeries;
t For the homebound: Mary Carmichael, Judy Blauwkamp, Kay Everett,

LADIES EVENING BIBLE STUDY
A verse by verse study of the Book of James is being held the 1st & 3rd Thursdays
of the month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the church. If you missed the previous classes,
thatâs ok - join us for the next session this Thursday, October 17! Get deep into
the Word and get to know other church women more personally! Study questions
can be picked up at the Womenâs Ministry Counter. No childcare is provided.

ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Tomorrow, October 14 @ 7:00 p.m.
Our joyful duty calls and itâs important for all members to be at our Annual
Meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. at the church. There will be reports from
all our ministries and our proposed budget will be introduced along with our
proposed new board members. You can pick up an Annual Ministry Report
today in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting to learn
whatâs happening in our church, but only members can vote, and members,
we need you in order to have a quorum! Please make every effort to be in
attendance. If you will not able to attend, please obtain an absentee ballot
from any of the deacons (John Preikszas, Doug Poynter, Jim DeFrell,
Barry Dekker or A.J. VanKampen.)

GANG TRAINING Are you interested in learning about gang culture, reasons why youth
join gangs and how we can best reach out to youth who are affiliated with gangs? Barnabas
Ministries is hosting a training session with speaker Detective Drew Torres of the Holland
Police Department at Community Reformed Church in Zeeland this Thursday, October 17,

Weâll be teaming up with all West Michigan Grace
Churches for fun at the water park, bowling, powerful
worship with the GBC Praise Team and a challenging
message from Andrew Clark of GBF. The cost is $65 which

PARKSIDEâS ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM
Rather than Rake âN Run this year, we are asking families to sign up at the youth
counter to rake a lawn. (This is not a youth fundraiser.) Families in need can sign
up to have their lawn raked and a couple families per yard are needed to do that.
October 20 - âFamily Night Outâ hosted by Sr. High!
October 27 - Sr. High Dinner Night and âHarvest in
the Woodsâ at DeJongâs.

unable to maintain their lawn and
really needs some help with
raking, sign them up at the Youth
Counter. We are not doing
âRake âN Runâ this year as a
youth project; however, we are
asking church families to âadopt
a lawnâ for someone in need.
Parksideâs 5th Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair will be
held on Saturday, November 23, from 9:00-3:00 at the
church! If you would be willing to help, please contact
Judy Timmer or Jane Tiffany. The Parkside Youth will be
helping but we could use adults willing
to help with the luncheon, advertising,
decorations, setup, cleanup, and helping
the vendors carry their items in and out
Friday evening, Saturday morning and
Saturday afternoon. This is a big event with
65 vendors of hand-crafted items and about
1500 people attending every year. Plan to attend
and bring your friends!
Itâs nearly finished! After months of construction, our new Christian
Education and Youth Ministry wing is a reality. To God be the glory
for the thing He has done! We want to celebrate together for our
new facility with a special morning of prayer, praise and dedication
next Sunday! An adjusted schedule for the morning is planned:
Sunday School: 9:30 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.
Worship Service: 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
All Church Brunch: 10:35 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
