New Prayer Requests: t Pray for healing and pain relief for Paul Russcher who fell 10-12 feet out of a tree breaking his collarbone and 5 ribs last weekend. t Pray for Cassandra Tooke’s parents who were both severely injured in a semi accident in Alabama on 9/24 and pray for peace & guidance for Cassandra who is with them at the hospital. t Pray for the Alan Chase family - his wife and 4 children - as Alan was killed in a semi accident near South Haven on 9/25 and pray for peace for Chris Koning as Alan was his co-worker and best friend. t Pray for Sommer Lentz who is struggling with a large kidney stone. t Pray for Albert Seibert’s sister, Leola Ralph, who is in Holland Hospital as of this writing due to chest pains and difficulty breathing. t Praise the Lord that Al & Shirley Jacobs are now in adjoining rooms at Tender Care receiving rehab following their many surgeries. t Praise the Lord that Eric Stone is doing much better after having strep throat and mono. DAMARIS CARBAUGH CONCERT Damaris is a talented singer who appeared regularly on the “Day of Discovery” TV program and has been a featured soloist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and on the Moody Radio Network. Her concert is on Friday, October 4, at 4:00 p.m. at Beechwood Church in Holland. No charge...but a freewill offering will be taken. FALL RETREAT FOR SR. HIGH! November 1-3 at Avalanche Bay Water Park! We’ll be teaming up with all West Michigan Grace Churches for fun at the water park, bowling, powerful worship with the GBC Praise Team and a challenging message from Andrew Clark of GBF. The cost is $65 which covers all expenses. Pick up a flyer at the youth counter. CEDAR POINT TRIP FOR JR. HIGH THIS WEEKEND! Leaving on Friday - Returning on Saturday - The cost is $50 which includes lodging, admission and transportation. Today is the last day to sign up. Please bring money for two meals and be at the church at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. ATTENTION ALL PARENTS! There will be an informational meeting after church next Sunday! It is important that all parents attend to find out the plans for the school year and next summer! Lunch will be provided. SR. PARKSIDE’S ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM Rather than Rake ‘N Run this year, we are asking families to sign up at the youth counter to rake a lawn. (This is not a youth fundraiser.) Families in need can sign up to have their lawn raked and a couple families per yard are needed to do that. ANNUAL MEETING OCTOBER 14 @ 7:00 P.M. Come and hear what’s happening at Parkside! CHURCH SPORTING OPPORTUNITIES PARKSIDE WALKERS/RUNNERS Meeting every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah out by Ottawa Beach next to Dune Dogs. BEACH VOLLEYBALL As long as weather permits, the Volleyball group will be meeting every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Holland State Park! Meet in the North parking lot - all ages & skill levels are invited! For more info or if you’re questioning if it will be held, contact Daniel Furbush or Harold Kimbel. “ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM” If you or someone you know, is unable to maintain their lawn and really needs some help with raking, sign them up at the Youth Counter. We will not being doing “Rake ‘N Run” this year as a youth project; however, we will be asking church families to “adopt a lawn” for someone in need. Parkside is considering joining a co-ed indoor soccer league in Byron Center with fellow Grace churches. The league would run for only the month of November, with games on Monday nights (November 4, 11, 18 and 24). This is a co-ed league and at least 2 women must be on the court at all times. It is for high school age and up. The cost would be $10 per person which includes a t-shirt, prizes and facility rental. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Matt or Judy as soon as possible. We have 4 committed so far. JOIN THE TEAM! Parkside’s 5th Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23, from 9:00-3:00 at the church! If you would be willing to help, please contact Judy Timmer or Jane Tiffany. The Parkside Youth will be helping but we could use adults willing to help with the luncheon, the bake sale, advertising, decorations, setup, cleanup, and helping the vendors carry in and take out their items. This is a big event with 35 vendors of hand-crafted items and about 1500 people coming through our doors for the show.

After months of construction, our new Christian Education and Youth Ministry wing is a reality. To God be the glory for the thing He has done!
