Once, the Big Brown Bear lived in the wood. He was known for his temper. The other animals,
especially the rabbits and the geese, enjoyed teasing him. They liked to see him becoming angry
and destroying things around him.
One day, the Big Brown Bear became angry at the animals. He decided to punish them. He
knew that most of them loved relaxing under the warm summer sun, so he stole the sun and hid
it in a secret place in the sky. As a result, the earth became very cold. It was winter all the time
and the animals were very miserable.
A squirrel suggested that they need to get the sun back. All the other animals gathered to
listen to her plan. A flock of brave birds set off to look for the Big Brown Bear’s hiding place in the
sky. After some searching, they found a large sack inside a magical cave. The sun was inside
the sack! The birds grabbed the sack and esaped from the cave.
Unfortunately, the bear saw them. He roared loudly. The birds accidentally dropped the sack.
The sack fell open, revealing the sun. Warmth began to spread all over the earth. All the
animals were overjoyed except the Big Brown Bear. He was so angry and went away to live in
the cold, snowy mountains by himself.
