- Effects of stress on the skin. The skin and the brain are in constant communication to synchronise external and internal “threat” signals, by hormones among other means. Cortisol is the key hormone in the stress response. Given that the skin and the brain share the same embryonic origin, both produce cortisol in response to stress. - In the skin, cortisol is generated from cortisone by the enzyme 11β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1. In other words, aged and prematurely photoaged skin habitually presents chronically high cortisol levels, and is therefore exposed to stress, regardless of other stressors, such as lifestyle rhythm or psychological stress. Then we have to treat them.

- For that, we have done a clinical test under medical and aesthetic control. It was performed to 28 volunteers, aged between 45 to 75 years old, with average age of 60 years, so we are talking about mature skin. The treatment was done during 1 month, with 2 applications per day in the morning and at night. Two skin analysis have been done: -The first one was on the wrinkles of the eye contour, are the periocular wrinkles or also known as crow’s feet, there were analysed using the Skin Smart Diagnosis equipment and 3D micro-photographs were taken of the skin. -The second analysis was of the skin density in the rictus area o nasolabial fold. These wrinkles or furrows in mature skin are usually quite deep and it is difficult to obtain positive results on a cosmetic level, for this reason, this is one of the main areas where filler injections are performed. For this second analysis, the Skin Diagnosis equipment was used, and micro-photographs were taken of the area.
- We will start by analysing the reduction of wrinkles in the eye contour. We are going to see some of this 3D micro-photographs before and after the treatment with only the new Luxury Elixir. Volunteer number 15. On Day 0, we see that the skin is very rough, with 2 very marked wrinkles. On day 30, the micro-relief is much more uniform and the wrinkles have been significantly reduced. The photograph below, vol. 10, we can see that the skin is smoother and the wrinkle has almost disappeared.
- Vol. 26: With these 3D photographs it is possible to analyse very good the wrinkles and the micro-relief of the skin. In this volunteer, we can see that the depth of the 2 main wrinkles has decreased significantly. Vol. number 12: Reduction not only in the depth but also in the length of the wrinkles
- More volunteers, vol. number 20: Significant reduction in roughness, contour is smoother and more uniform, the skin looks younger. vol. number 7: In this case, there is a very deep horizontal wrinkle, after 30 days, has almost disappeared.
- The last 2 volunteers, vol. 16. Significant reduction in the depth of all wrinkles. Vol. 20: is a mature skin with many wrinkles in the eye contour area. After 30 days applying The Luxury Elixir, the skin is smoother, wrinkles are reduced, and the skin tone has also improved.
- Now, we are going to see the analysis of the increase in density in the nasolabial fold area, known as the rictus. As I mentioned before, this area is very difficult to treat cosmetically so the clients are very grateful went they get good results. In this case, the photographs were taken with the Skin Diagnosis equipment. Vol. 7: Before and after, the skin appears fuller and more uniform. - As usual, at the end of the study we have done a self-evaluation test to know the satisfaction degree by the client. The results were very good. We highlight that 100% of volunteers believe that their skin is thicker and plumper. They say that their skin is “fuller” and 100% of volunteers also consider that the effects of stress on their skin have been reduced.

- We have designed special, exclusive packaging to present the product, with a high perceived value. We are talking about a luxury cure, so only the the best will do. A spectacular box that adheres to the format of the whole Timeless Prodigy line, in which the products are placed in order, since this is an intensive cure with 3 progressive phases. It also includes a very special detail: a mirror which can be taken out of the box and used to display the product on the consumer’s vanity. In this way, we help her to keep it within reach in the bathroom, in a very elegant manner, for the month of treatment.
