Background:
1993 to 1999: After leaving school I enrolled on a Business Admin, Youth Training Scheme
working for a Utility Company as junior wages clerk/administer. After completing the 2 year
YTS I continued working for a further 4 years for the same company as Contract Costing
Clerk until made redundant.
1999 to 2004: Various companies within the Utility, Steel and Textile industry as either
Contract Costings Clerk or Sub-contracts account manager.
2004 to 2010: Saftronics, MCC manufacturer & installer as Sub-contracts accounts manager
with the main roles & responsibilities, producing weekly & monthly costings and ensuring
payments for work completed were invoiced & paid on time.
2010 to 2013 continued working for Saftronics but a slight change in direction, as I became
the Site Services Manager with main roles & responsibilities, organising work load for the site
team across the UK, issuing task specific Method Statement & Risk Assessments, Safety
Inspections, Site Surveys and organising Health & Safety Training.
2013 to Present: Technical Control Systems as Site Services Coordinator.
Current Roles & Responsibilities:
As the Site Services Co-ordinator I’m responsible for the management and control of all site
activities, including execution of work, testing and commissioning.
The preparation and issue of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for
both standard deliveries and ongoing site work.
Organising delivery of LV assemblies within budget.
Issue and assignment of work to site operatives competent to carry out the work.
Liaising with the Test Department to ensure products are tested in time to meet target
dates for delivery.
Organise quotations for third party installation and ensuring they are within budget.
Ensuring the effective application of servicing activities.
The weekly inspection of all site vans, including organising annual servicing / MOT
etc.
Liaising with Site operatives and the Engineering department to ensure a swift
resolution to any queries.
Ensuring that training needs of site personnel are identified, organised and
implemented.
Maintain and record a list of completed site projects for review by top management.
Review and approve subcontractors, following company policies and procedures.
2. Technical Control Systems Ltd.
A member of the Health & Safety Committee with roles & responsibilities covering:
Review and analyse accidents and incidents.
Issue corrective actions to prevent recurrence of health & safety accidents or
incidents
Review procedures and policies
Review risk assessments
Review new or impending legislation using the Legislation Tracker on the British
Safety Council website.
Suggest opportunities for continual improvements
A member of the Environmental Committee with roles & responsibilities covering:

Integrated Management System (IMS) Coordinator with the responsibility and authority to
ensure the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, are
implemented and maintained.
Monitoring and managing customer satisfaction and customer comment.
Ensuring that the requirements of the IMS are implemented and maintained, to
achieve and retain industry recognised certification, and the enhancement of
customer satisfaction.
Managing the interface with the BSI, our nominated third party auditors.
Determination of audit schedules, auditor competence and independence, the
implementation of audits and management review meetings.
Providing IMS operational support to the business to ensure compliance with
applicable standards, legislation and regulations.
Establishing operational controls to manage its quality, health & safety and
environmental risks, and to comply with its applicable legal and the other
requirements;
Maintain the company risk register [Management & Regulatory].
Obtaining and updating all environmental licenses, approvals and permits.
Development for IMS programmes and systems for business-wide implementation.
The review and monitoring of corrective actions and nonconforming outputs.
Reporting to the Managing Director on the performance of the IMS and any needs for
improvement.
