This document provides context and instructions for a lesson on storytelling using the epic poem Beowulf. It includes:

2-9 of the Beowulf story.
You need to correctly place the cards in
the order of the story.
The pair that gets the most answers right
wins a raffle ticket!
7. Retell the opening 9 pages of ‘Beowulf’
•Draw: You can either storyboard what happens
•in 6 images (individually)
•Act: Create 6 freeze frames with a narrator retelling
the story (in groups of 4)

A long time ago a very cruel king named Virat Singh ruled the city of Vijay Nagar. All citizens were fearful because of his cruelty. Virat had a dog named Jack, which he used to love more than anything. One fateful morning Jack died. Virat Singh organized last rituals for dog and the entire city came to the cremation ground. Virat Singh was very happy to see that people loved him so much and he felt he was the most popular king in the world.
After few days after Jack’s cremation Virat Singh died, but no one came to his funerals.
