“The continuous evolution of technology is changing the
way we do business, the dynamics of the workplace, and what
we perceive is possible (Marius, 2012).” Technology is
changing the face of businesses today both by supply and
demand. Other ways that technology is changing are
productivity, communication, resourcing, efficiency and
optimization, cost management, and interaction and
participation.
Technology today affects almost everything in our lives,
not just in businesses. “As computers emerged in the 20th
century, they promised a new age of information technology.

6. But in order to reap the benefits, businesses needed to adapt and
change their infrastructure. For example, American Airlines
started using a computerized flight booking system, and Bank of
America took on an automated check-processing system
(McGrath, 2008).”
