2. Gender? In my thriller women are represented as victims because they are the characters that are being targeted by the villain. They are seen as being vulnerable because their emotions in the thriller are panicked because we know that their is someone else in the thriller. The film contains both females and males, therefore it isn't sexist to the person who is viewing the film. However because the females in the film are victims it is stereotypical as you would normally associate a women to be more vulnerable than a man in certain thrillers, for example the films Prom Night, Psycho, the females are always the victims. In our thriller the male actor is the villain. It doesn't show any difference within the sexualities of the actors and actresses in my film.
3. Sexuality There was no stereotyping on the subject of sexuality as all the actors and actresses are straight. This factor would be viewed a real film however because there would be different opinions from the public. This means that they may favour to a certain sexuality probably being alike to there own.
4. Age Of Actors The characters are mostly all around the age of about 17,18,19 so their isn't any major difference in our film. This means that their is no stereotyping with age difference and people of an older age. Our film however is aimed at people of a younger age because it contains students, so if the audience were the same age then they could relate to our film.
5. Class There is no difference in class within the film as all the actors and actresses are of the same class, and no one stands out from the other, showing equality when it comes to the issue of wealth. All the actors and actresses are of the same working class and are students. However in a real film, there could be a change to the factor of class, for example a close community working family and then the opposite to this, a group of HollyWood actresses who are wealthy.
6. Stereotyping Our only stereotype in our film would be the one between males and females as the females are presented as being innocent and vulnerable and the male is seen as being cold hearted and having a murderous aspect. The male is also dressed in dark/black clothes which could be seen as a stereotype. These stereotypes could be seen as being negative because women can actually have criminal aspects to them in many films, and males can be vulnerable in previous films. So our film therefore portrays the associated view to gender when the situation of protagonist and antagonist arise because all of our female characters have acted innocently, and our male actor has acted as the criminal.
