1. 6. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing your
music magazine?
2. From planning and making my music magazine I
have learnt how to use different technologies. I
have learnt how to use Photoshop where I learnt
how to get rid of the background of an image
using the magic wand tool or magic selection
tool.
I also learnt how to adjust an image on Photoshop
by using the brightness/contrast tool to change
the increase the brightness of the image and to
give my image a contrast.
Adding to this I am also able to adjust my image
using the curves and colour balance which
allowed me to adjust specific areas of the image
and colour balance.
I have learnt how to use adobe illustrator where I
learnt how to edit the images on magazine –
using the feathering tool and shadow tool and
learnt how edit my article where I learnt how
to put my article into columns to give my
magazine a professional look.
3. From my feedback my audience said my
images on my front cover page, contents page
and double page looked professional. I have also
learnt how to use a digital camera where I can
now take a range of different images from
different angles. Using a digital camera made
my images have a better quality giving it a
more professional and realistic look.
Adding to this, I have learnt how to use a
blogger which has allowed me to post my focus
group video by embedding the link which
helped to me plan my music magazine getting
ideas from my target audience. Adding to this,
my blogger has allowed my peers to evaluate
my draft magazine and give me feedback how
to improve it. The blogger also allowed me to
do polls for my peers to vote for which title
block they prefer and allowed to assess previous
music magazines designed by previous AS
students to help me to plan my music
magazine.
