What does it mean to question the authenticity and originality of a religious scripture? Is it a life
changing question? Yes, it absolutely can be a life changing curiosity leading to a long journey of
research. As it was the case for Bart D. Ehrman. Ehram a less devout episcopal Christian who
converted to evangelical Christianity, in an essence, re–embraced the religion at a young age and
started studying Christianity. His education started off at Moody Bible Institute and the Wheaton
College and later received his PhD in New Testament studies. During his studies, Ehram developed
a particular interest about infallibility and inerrancy of the Christian scripture. In a quest of finding
answers for his questions about Scripture he wrote a book Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who
Changed the Bible and Why. The main thesis of the book reads "The book is about ancient
manuscripts of the New Testament and the differences found in them, about scribes who copied
scripture and sometimes changed it. This may not seem to be very promising as a key to one's own
autobiography, but there it is. One has little control over such things" . The book is a very readable,
accurate condensation of many of the most important facts about the nature and history of textual

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune was born on July 10, 1875 in Maysville, South Carolina. Mary's family
worked by being in the fields picking cotton. . Mary's parents decided to buy a farm for the family.

Within this book review we will discuss many characteristics of the author and the book. Who he is,
where his stance on the subject is, his motives, and techniques that were used to open the readers
mind to understand his perspective on Genesis one. The author of the book, John H. Walton was a
professor at Moody bible institute for thirty years before becoming the current professor of Old
Testament at Wheaton College. The question that Walton asks is, in what way should we interpret
the story of Genesis? His primary focus throughout the novel is to show how the seven days of

The structure of his argument contains steps that build off of each other, further proving his point.
He explains many other interpretations of the bible and uses ancient near eastern texts to gain a
knowledge of the people from that time and find out exactly what the author meant when he wrote
Genesis. He compares with the book of Genesis to these texts to prove how his interpretation is the
most reasonable. Walton includes a great amount of quotes from many credible sources that include
scientific theories, ancient near eastern text and sources from the bible as well to prove his thesis.

Growing up in a home surrounded by devout, God fearing Christians directly shaped and molded
my life towards the Lord and the things of Him; though it took time. Youth group became my
domain of influence spiritually and work on a ranch/farm taking care of livestock and multi–acre
fields became my sphere of influence in any way other than spiritual. By the age of 18, graduating
High School, I could tell without question my life was dichotomized; but being an adolescent I did

was different. It was luminescent. And it grew. I kept looking at it like, 'What is that?' Then it grew
large and I went into it" (Sunfellow, David). Near death experiences and the knowledge of near
death experiences have become more common in today's society. Countless books have recently
been written on them such as Heaven is for Real, Near Death Experiences of Suicide Survivors,
Proof of Heaven, and 90 minutes in Heaven, but not everyone believes in these experiences. Some
atheists, scientists and doctors have all tried to debunk the theory, but are they nonbelievers or
disbelievers? A non–believer is one who does not have faith or believe, a dis–believer refuses to
believe. Many people have stated that they have had near death experiences and of course with that
comes the naysayers. The point is to look beyond scientific belief and to look at the proof we have
from doctors records or for some, their own experiences. There are still many skeptics about NDEs
but with countless records and so much proof, there draws a thin line between real and make
believe. In order to prove that these experiences are true to the non–believers we need to not only

God was willing to give their parents the land 40 years earlier but the people were afraid of the
inhabitants of that land and they doubted Yahweh. Thus, they were doomed to wander the desert for
forty years and therefore not enter the Promised Land that their children would inherit in Joshua's

13, God shows that he is special by having Moses change his name from Hoshea to Joshua which

a private school for African–American students in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born on July 10,
1875 in Maysville, SC. She went to school at bible institute for home and foreign missions. It is now

nearly a decade she worked as an educator. She married fellow teacher Albertus Bethune in 1898.

He went on to be a teacher and principal at J.J Clemmons High school, where he was active in
raising money for bus services for African–American students. He later helped institute voting rights
for black citizens in his county and was elected the first African–American mayor of roper in the

more than three decades, until 1974. He actively raised money to provide a school bus for African–
American children beginning in 1946, where as previously only white students had transportation
services. In the following years, he worked with the local chapter of the national association for the

COLORADO CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY In deal with the Two Natures of Christ's Person, I have
found that there are a lot of people past and present that still have some sort of an issue with the
subject of God and Jesus Christ being one in the same. According to McGrath," Irenaeus of Lyons
on the Trinity" that God the Father is, "uncreated, who is uncontained, invisible, one God, creator of
the universe." (McGrath, p. 157). And according to scripture, "I and the Father are one" John 10:30
KJV. And there are many, many more scriptures that I will quote as we go along. Now I understand
the argument of not fully understanding how can God who is completely divine and not of this
world, be the Son of God. And Jesus Christ who is the son of God, that was born of a woman (I left
out the virgin because of another argument) conceived by the Holy Ghost. Walked among us, grew
up, ate, lived in this land as we have, yet was without sin, holy, powerful, and God in the flesh.
Okay, I can certainly see why the question came about. So, let me take a swing at the discussion at
hand. The Bible is a Prophetic Book, it is filled with divine language, definitions, and mysteries. So,
to be able to understand and answer many of the questions of this book, one must have a spiritual
discernment. According to scripture, "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But
the natural man receiveth, not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all
things, yet he himself is judged by no man". 1 Corinthians 2:13–15 (KJV). So, then now let me also
point out that being saved,or a believer does not mean the same thing as having a spirit of
discernment. No, not at all, for this is a gift that one must receive from God the father. Again,
scripture says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the
Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning", James 1:17 KJV. I could

Imogene to this day likes to go visit Shirley's tomb stone and think of all the memories they could
have made together. Eight years later George and Chapel gave birth to another daughter Barbara
Cothren. Imogene and Barbara were close growing up. Even though there was an eight year age

The Interview Session That I Had With Pastor
This paper will discuss my reflection to the interview session that I had with Pastor Stephen
Paulsen. Stephen Paulsen is the high school Pastor at Venture Christian Church. He has been a high
school Pastor for about 13 years. Stephen has started his ministry at Venture Christian Church since
August 2014. Before working at Venture, He began his first ministry in serving the high school
students in South Carolina. He has four kids (three boys and one daughter) and a beautiful wife. This

FACTORS OF STRATEGY AND METHOD Before the work begins, a strategy must be put in
place and methods must be decided. This section will outline and describe how the church plant will

section as well. The plan will serve as a guideline to the work that will be done to see that the church
is carefully given over to national leadership so that it may continue reproducing itself in the region

As Jesus demonstrated in his earthly ministry, prayer is a vital part of a successful communion with

There is probably no other time in our lives more formational than the college experience. So much
depends on these few early years in our live as we grow socially, mentally, and (for some of us)

People often view a liberal arts college as a place for people who don't know what they want to do
with their lives. They come out knowing a little bit of everything, just enough to get you a job in

is evidence to support the legalization of homosexual marriage, though many would argue that it
