Situation
A.
Enemy Forces
1.
Identification
The enemy force is armored. This is because they have
positioned their ground troops strategically within the entrance
and exit channels of the region. They are equipped with mortars
and motorized vehicles.
2.
Terrain
The eastern part of the region that is occupied by Russians is
characterized by various man-made and natural obstacles. Such
obstacles include tall buildings, trees, and hills. Other existing
obstacles include rivers and small tributaries. The target
enemies are likely to cover and conceal themselves on the other
side of the hill that is foggy and covered by trees.
3.
Weather
The terrain of the land is generally bumpy and rough. The
weather and climatic condition of this area is cold and wet. In
particular, Checkpoint Bravo is humid, and sometimes foggy.
This means that it is sometimes hard to watch the enemies for as
far as 300 meters using naked eyes.
Unclassified
4.
Time
Time is now 2245Zulu;
Traveling by ground will take 4 hours for destination and in air
2 hours
5.
Location
The enemy is not attacking. Instead, the troops are preventing
US and British forces from freely moving across the border to
the eastern side. The Russian forces are also restricting civilians
from freely moving across the border.
6.
Activity
When contacted, the Russian forces decided to position
themselves for attack instead of dispersing or showing readiness
to hold talks. This suggests that the only way to deal with them
is to counterattack.
B. Friendly Forces
1.
The mission and concept of the higher unit of the friendly force
is to coordinate with us in order to assist in besieging the
enemy’s forces. This includes provision of direction and
resources to support us.
2.
Some of the friendly forces are British and French military.
The French forces will be positioned in the left of the protected
zone, while the British forces will be positioned on the right
side.
C.
Attachments and Detachments
Unclassified
Unclassified
1.
The attachment troop is composed of eight M119A3 howitzers.
This unit is made up of soldiers who are holding artillery piece
that have short barrels. They will be stationed head-to-head
with the Russian military.
C.
Mission
(1)
The Field Artillery’s mission is to occupy the checkpoint bravo
on the Russian border. This is going to be done with the primary
reason of defending the western side of the Checkpoint against
Russian Calvary which has mounted soldiers on the ground and
dismounted. The Russian Calvary is seeking to lay claim of the
Checkpoint Bravo. However, they need to be stopped from
doing that and going further inwards. In light of the above, the
Field Artillery unit’s aim is to overpower them and push them
further inwards towards the Russian territory. The Russian
forces have denied US forces and their ally’s uncontrolled entry
to the Soviet sector and the entire section of the eastern side of
the Checkpoint Bravo. As a result, the Field Artillery is going
to use resources such as Howitzers to face off against the Soviet
military at the Checkpoint Bravo.
D.
Execution
Commander’s Intent
(1)
The intention is to push the Russian forces inwards towards
their territory and let them surrender the Checkpoint Bravo. To
achieve this objective, friendly forces will be stationed at both
the right and left sides of the Checkpoint Bravo, whereas the
Field Artillery will face them head-to-head in a fierce battle.
The Russian forces will be attacked from both left and right side
by British and French forces respectively. Our task will involve
attacking the Russian forces and Calvary from ahead. This will
be arranged in two lines. The front line will be facing the
Unclassified
Russians while thee back line will be offering back-ups and
resources such as weaponry and assistance of casualties. In case
the front line is exhausted, the back line will resume with the
operation as they take cover.
E.
Concept of Operation
(1)
In order to push Russians away from the Checkpoint Bravo area,
we will mount soldiers to occupy the other side of the hill. The
French soldiers will be attacking from the left using both
ground men and air strikes, whereas the British soldiers will be
attacking from the right. We are going to Ambush the Russian
forces from behind when they are facing the front and moving
inwards. The Russians will then be pushed towards the eastern
side so that they move away from the Checkpoint Bravo region
where they are currently occupying. We will then shift on a
180-degree azimuth for 600m in a team wedge, squad in
column, and in travelling formation towards the area of
departure. As soon as we are positioned, we will break into
silence in order to pay attention to the movements and activities
of the enemies. Thereafter, they will be ambushed and
overpowered from their behinds.
F.
Tasks to Maneuver Units
(1)
Each team member will be charged with different tasks and
responsibilities. For instance, my assistant commander will be
coordinating with the artillery support soldiers to ensure that all
the target spots are aimed at accurately.
(2)
One member, who happens to be an engineer, will test the
effectiveness and accuracy of the equipment’s.
(3)
Another member’s role will be to press forward and fire 105mm
rounds against the Russians.
Unclassified
(4)
Furthermore, there are other member’s role will be to gather
intelligence information in order to determine the patterns of
movement of Russian forces in the battle field.
(5)
Finally, all members will also be required to participate in the
fight.
G.
Tasks to Combat Support Units
(1)
The combat support units will be charged with different tasks
that will work together to attain the desired objectives.
(2)
Over half of the soldiers will be combat arms, who will be
tasked with facing and destroying the Russian enemy forces.
(3)
Others will be providing the combat arms with firepower and
destructive capabilities on the battlefield.
H.
Coordinating Instructions
(1)
As the ground soldiers will be moving forward towards the
eastern side of the border, the air defense artillery will be
undertaking airstrikes on the areas where the Russian forces are
taking positions and hiding.
(2)
British forces will then protect the left side where they might
escape, whereas the French forces will be manning the right
side.
(3)
We will then continue to press forward towards the eastern side
and into the Russian territory as we fire Artillery rounds
towards them.
(4)
We will also cut communication lines that are going to be used
by Russians to seek backups from Moscow
(5)
British forces will bomb their food supply that is located on the
left side of the entrance into the Checkpoint Bravo.

(1)
The higher unit leader will be located 500 miles and 40 degrees
south. During all the phases of operation, the assistant unit
leader will accompany the ground forces to the operational site
where the Russians will be stationed. This will be done in order
to provide proper coordination and support services to soldiers
who will require ammunitions and medical attention.
K.
Signal
(1)
There will be different channels of communication during the
entire process of operation. However, the main service that will
be relied on is the use of FM signals. Pyrotechnics (smoke) and
signals will also be taken into account. They will include arm
and hand signals. Coded language will also be utilized. Finally,
there will be a device for recognizing both near and far signals
in order to provide the unit with the lead and clue.
