Put the baby on phototherapy unit. At a
distance of 30 – 45 cm from light source.
Place small pillows or rolled sheet on both
side for safety
Turn the baby frequently to expose all the
body parts.

Check temperature
Inspect baby for any signs of complication
Give baby to mother
