2. Case study from Galloway
• A hydro built on a coastal burn
• Watercourse is ~2.5 km long
• Hydro is 60 kW capacity
• A baseline fish survey was completed in 2011 by GFT
• We found a very healthy wild resident brown trout population
• We provided various comments to SEPA and local Planning Authority
• Hydro was built between October 2013 and May 2014
• Post construction fish survey was completed in summer 2014 by GFT
