Lingeswari is an 11-year-old girl whose father is an alcoholic and physically abuses her mother. Her mother works on a farm but does not earn enough to support their family of 6. Lingeswari's uncle helped enroll her in Joy Home so she could get an education and a better future. Anitha's father is addicted to bad habits and does not support the family financially. Her mother struggles to provide for the children and decided to enroll Anitha in Joy Home. Revathi's parents work as migrant laborers and could no longer take her with them. Due to health issues and inability to afford education and medical costs, Revathi's parents enrolled her in SERUDS orphanage.

E. Lingeswari:
Lingeswari is an eleven year’s old girl. Her parents were labourers. But her father
was drunken. He used to spend his earning on cheap liquor only. So Lingeswari
mother suffers a lot to maintain the family needs. Totally six members are there

2. in the family. Even she cannot provide food sufficiently to the children then how
can she provide money for their education. The government may provide free
education but for books and other things, she needs money. When she was
worried about their studies she heard about JOY HOME through Mahadev her
uncle. She thought her child will study well and her future will be so nice. So she
joined her in the JOY HOME
Ediga Lingeshwari:
Lingeswari previously lived in a small village near Kurnool district. She is currently
studying Inter 2nd year in KVR college. Her father Sudhakar often drinks and
physically abuses lingeshwari’s mother Lalitha. Her father does not take care of
his family. With 4 kids Lingeshwari’s mom Lalitha took the entire family burden
and works at a farm.
The money earned by her was not sufficient take care of her children or provide
basic necessities. Because of the bad financial conditions her brother Mahadev
joined Lingeshwari at SERUDS so that she can get proper education
G. Anitha:
Anitha parents were daily wage labourers. Father addicted to bad habits and not
giving any money for the sake of family. So Anitha mother is always suffrering
money for livelihood. Instead of sharing the family burdons he become angry and
began to quarrel always with Anitha mother. Often it is happening in the house .
Anitha mother fed up with him and began to live separately. Even after that also
he did not realize his mistake and continue to have his bad habits. So it is so
difficult to provide the needs of her children decided to join her in the Joy Home
with the help of her elder sister Mary she joined Anitha in the joy home

3. G. Revathi:
Her father is a daily labourer and mother is a house wife. Her parents used to
work as daily labourers and they had been migrating from one state to other. As
they were migrant labors it became very difficult to take Revathi along with them.
When Revathi was a very young kid they were able to take her with them.
Because of her mother’s ill-health, they are not able to meet her medical
expenses and educate Revathi simultaneously. Because of continuous migration
her father’s health is affected. So her parents enquired about any orphanage
nearby. Neighbor had got to know about SERUDS orphanage and requested them
to admit Revathi in the Orphanage
