2. Education for poor children in kurnool
V. Sumathi : Sumathi parents have four girl children. Both were daily wage
labourers in the agriculture fields. But her father whatever he earns he always
spends on cheap liquor. Lakshmidevi also works and gets meagre income. He
is having extra marital relations with other women in the village. He always
beat the wife. Sometimes she is not able to bare with his attitude. It is not at
all sufficient to feed all the members in the family at least a time in a day. She
will starve along with her children every day. She is worrying so much about
her children and their future. At that time with the help of community elders
heard about Joy Home as part of its regular activities
J. Naga Jyothi : Naga Jyothi is studying X class. Her parents got separated,
and father remarried. Her mother works in Hyderabad as migrant worker, and
as a single parent she is worried about the security of her adolescent girl.
Once in a year she come and visits her daughter. Coming to know about her
situation a known person Nagaraju admitted Jyothi in the SERUDS orphanage
home. SERUDS is providing a healthy lifestyle to this child. We are sending her
to school and giving her all the educational material she needs to continue her
education. SERUDS orphanage is supporting her with food, education,
healthcare, accommodation, personal hygiene
Durga Raju : Durga Raju’s father is Bhaskar and mother is Baby. He has a
brother. His father works as a day laborer. But sometimes work can’t be
found. It is very difficult to meet expenses that day. Raju’s brother who is 12
years old, works in a hotel. Bhaskar’s wife did not give him a good life. They
are divorced. She is living with another man. The two children are with
Bhaskar, who never remarried because his fiance did not take care of the
children properly. It was very difficult to look after the children when he went
to work. So Bhaskar came to know about Joy home Orphanage and he placed
Durga Raju in Joy home Orphanage
