M.Mounika : Mother works as a daily wage laborer in mines and gets Rs.150
per day whenever she gets the work from contractor. Her father met with an
accident and died while going to hospital for treatment. As a daily labor,
mother is unable to meet all the needs of the family and due to poverty she

2. was forced to bring Mounika to the workplace instead of sending her to the
school. Mounika is very interested in studies and has a dream to become a
government officer. Mounika’s mother understood her child’s interest in
studies so she wanted support to fulfill her child’s interest. Hence she decided
to admit her in the orphanage. At that time she met with a volunteer of Seruds
& joined Mounika in Joy Home orphanage
M. Gnaneswar : Venkateswari and venkateshwarulu are wife and husband.
They have three children. Gnaneswar is one among them. Now he is ten years
old. As their economical condition is so poor due to lakh of facilities they
always quarrelling. It is so unreasonable. Instead of doing hard work to
improve their economic condition they used to blame each other at last they
decided to live separately. The husband left the house living all other family
members for their fate. So his fathers’ brother Ramudu knew about JOY HOME
and joined him in the home
M. Lakshmi : Lakshmi parents are agricultural labourers when mounika was
so young her father left family went away with another lady & got married for
his enjoyment. So her father was not at all bothering about Lakshmi and her
mother. As a single young lady, she can’t live bravely in the world. Almost she
decided to kill herself along with her daughter. But she felt so the shame of
her thoughts and decided to live and like to give good education to her
daughter. After many years, she knew about JoyHome and requested
Administrator for her daughter admission and she expressed her willingness to
work as a care taker, she & her daughter can live happily
M. Nagalakshmi : Nagalakshmi parents were labourers. Whenever they get
agricultural work they will do as daily wage labourers. Rest of the days they
should starve without any income. They have 3 children. They feel so sad
about their family conditions. The children always used to cry for food and
children used suffering from malnutrition. Due to the scarcity of rain they

3. didn’t get regular work. Suddenly her father fell ill and died two years ago.
When both parents were working they did not get sufficient money to feed
their children. But now a single parent is not able to manage children to
provide food and education. At that time she heard about Joy Home and for
the sake of Nagalakshmi future, she decided to join her in Joy Home
