Set up a Smart Waste Management Technology Platform which:
a) Supports efficient Door-2-Door collection of segregated waste in Indian cities, by:
• Mapping, scheduling and tracking routes
• Measuring collected waste (kilograms) per stream per street/block
• Maintaining customer complaints and ticketing
• Recording operational and fixed costs, manhours and operation (collected waste and/or collection stops)
• Shows all the above data in a clear dashboard with Key Performance Indicators
b) Supports efficient primary segregation and processing (baling, shredding) of dry recyclable waste, by:
• Recording incoming and outgoing material streams (volumes and prices) and stock checks
• Recording operational and fixed costs, manhours and production (processed material)
• Maintaining mass balance based on incoming, outgoing and stock check volumes
• Shows all the above data in a clear dashboard with Key Performance Indicators
c) Reports back key performance indicators to the Municipality, to show:
• Quality of the collection service
• Effectiveness of the waste management (incl. recycling percentages and productivity)
• Baseline data on waste generation and recycling/processing in the city

12. Upgrading 10 waste facilities for Bangalore Municipality as part of
Indo-Dutch cooperation project

Client: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP,
Bangalore municipality) signed an MOU with SweepSmart
to upgrade 10 centres to modern and efficient Smart
Waste Centres to triple capacity, optimise operations and

partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the

15. Integrated Solid Waste Management project for Electronics City Industrial
Township Authority (ELCITA)

ELCITA, a great first pilot location. Together with ELCITA,
I Got Garbage and the operator, we turned this into a

processing 10 T/day of segregated waste. Developed
and implemented a source segregation approach at 20
companies (see: Segregation Toolkit) to improve
recycling % with at least 10-20% at the companies

Project : This is the first pilot location in which a conveyor
belt was implemented in a small-scale decentralised waste
segregation centre for municipalities in India. The centre
is managed by a former waste picker as independent
entrepreneur
