2. Children in Poland have various hobbies:
they usually go swimming, cycling and horse
riding. They often play football and ride
bikes. Young people sometimes like playing
instruments such as the piano, the guitar or
the accordion. They also watch TV and play
chess.
3. At Polish schools, children don’t start
lessons at 08:00 everyday. Sometimes they
start school at 08:45, 09:50 or 10:35. For
grades 4-6, there are subjects such as:
Polish, English, Biology, PE, RE, ICT, Art,
Maths, History, Music and Technique.
4. Polish children end lessons at different time
everyday. They usually go home at 11:30,
12:35, 13:30 or 14: 25. Sometimes the
school finishes even at 16:00.
5. The most usual breakfast food is bread with
ham, cheese, jam or eggs. Other popular
food is cornflakes, toast with jam and
scrambled eggs.
6. One of the most popular dinner dishes is
broth. For the second course, Polish people
often eat potatoes with roasted steak.
Tomato soup and soup made of fermented
rye flour are also popular.
