Before You Begin Processing • Do you have the funds available to fund your payroll? • Do you have a way to print live checks for those without direct deposit? • Can you get those checks signed? • Do you have an alternate plan that is legal in your state (such as paycards)? • Do you have a way to get a file from your timeclock to process payroll? • Have new hires/terminations been updated in your Sage HRMS? • Have your payroll procedures been documented? • Do you have that documentation to augment this video?

After Processing and “Normal” Resumes • Have new hires and terms been accounted for? • Review all hourly people for proper Regular/OT payments • Doublecheck all garnishments for proper amounts • Review any earnings that happen on a different cycle • Cell Phone Allowance • Car Allowance, etc. • Review any deductions that happen on a different cycle • Were the proper deductions taken? • Were non-direct deposit people paid? • Were your payroll taxes paid to the proper authorities? • Have any necessary quarter end filings been done?
