5. Compiling your LAMP list
Divide your list of 40 into the following categories
● Dream employers
○ List as many as possible in 60 seconds
● Alumni employers
○ Search LinkedIn by typing University of California Berkeley into search box in left corner of screen

● Actively hiring employers
○ Recommend using indeed.com
● Trending employers
○ Who is in the news? Who do you follow? What is commanding our attention?

8. Engage with contacts
Craft 5-Point Email
1. Keep it brief: >100 words
2. Do not mention internship or job
3. Establish connection
■ Alumni?, same hometown? (or nearby area), major focus?, or mutual connection
4. Generalize interest (vs co specific) as it will be easier to refer you to associates in network
5. Maintain follow up (if reaching out via email)
