legislative system, and providing analysis of those bills to the Classified Personal Council,
staff, and university legal counselas needed
 Served two, three year terms on this elected committee tasked with staff and administration
relations, and covers a wide variety of issues from benefits to safety committees
 Implemented new and creative ways to increase staff productivity, efficiency and teamwork
 Assisted with the creation and implementation of new staff training program designed to
assist staffwith acquiring skills needed to advance in the organization. This was a new
program in our department and was a resounding success with three individuals having
successfully completed their training during my time with the program

 Implemented changes to improve customer satisfaction
 Fostered relationships between contractors and university staff to ease communication
difficulties and help staff and contracted crews to work togethermore efficiently by
maintaining close communications with the company and our staff
 Work with other members of the maintenance staff to promote communication, efficiency, and
teamwork such as adjusting schedules to cover vacations and time off and moving staff into areas
most in need of additional labor
 President of Marine Aquarium Society of Colorado, 503(c)3 non profit business responsible for
budgeting,membership drives, advertising, and scheduling of events 2012-2013
Scheduling and Training
 Overall scheduling for both classified and hourly staff
 Arrange interviews for new staff and positions within the organization
 Organize and schedule daily, weekly and monthly work, prioritizing based on organizational needs
and budgetary allowances
 Created safety training program for staff to train employees on safe use of machinery and tools
Maintenance
 Experience in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, demolition, roofing, and
tiling fields
 Designed cost/benefit analysis of program to replace standard incandescent bulbs with energy saving
compact fluorescent lamps, presented to management which accepted proposal, and assisted with
implementing program
 Implemented LED transition for State of Colorado Capitol building resulting in energy
savings in excess of $100,000 over the life of the project.
 Created five year maintenance plan for the Merrick Parking Garage in Denver Colorado with a
$500,000 operating budget over the course of the contract
 Created and updated yearly maintenance budget,including completing audits to determine planned
and deferred maintenance projects.
 Estimated needed budgetary numbers for current maintenance needs as well as deferred projects to
request budgetary increases
 Created, planned, wrote scopes ofwork, oversaw, and completed final walkthroughs on numerous
projects involving construction and renovation of Capitol Complex buildings with outside vendors
