Albatross. Hurry the plane is

Albatross has the longest wingspan of any
bird. Some people think to see an
Albatross is a good luck sign. Other people
think they are a sign for a storm. These
birds sometimes follow ships for a hand out
of trash. An Albatross can fly for hours
without rest. Fisher men follow these birds
because they lead to big groups of fish.
Albatrosses are endangered because
they fly into fishing nets. They have good
sight and smell. They have very good
navigational skills. There beaks have sharp
blades so there food does not slip. Lets go
to our next stop.

these birds are black and white,
some are brown. They have
feathers. Their lifespan is 50 years.

BEHAVOIRS
This stop is my favorite so be
prepared! These silly birds run with
there wings spread apart and
sometimes step on each other to get
ready to take off. They dance and
sing for mates! Albatrosses only go to
land to get a partner or breed. Were
heading back on the plane. Hurry!

7. FOOD YUM! YUM!
I’m starving he must be two. These
birds eat seafood. They eat fish,
krill, squid and even dead animals
floating on the ocean. Yuck! They
dive in the water and scoop up
there prey like a spoon. They do
not hunt in flocks they hunt alone.
Come on lets get some food for us.

Different types of Albatrosses
live in either Newzeland or pacific
areas. They migrate in the winter.
There climate is warm and
sometimes wet. That is it for this
stop.
