6. The teaser included conventions of a full length trailer, such as the film studios being credited right in the beginning. To
make it more unique, the graphic designers have edited the Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures so that it
matches with the theme and graphics of the film. Since the teaser shows colours of red, oranges, coppers, black and
browns, it would not only make sense but also appear aesthetically pleasing if any logos or text were altered to match the
film’s colour scheme.
The first clip shows what appears to be a group travelling on their vehicles, with a voice over
saying “my world is fire and blood”. As soon as he says it, one of the cars becomes destroyed
from being attacked by a character in the vehicle opposite them, which could suggest what
he meant by ‘blood’ (he, or people he knows, gets injured or even killed)
7. As you continue with the teaser, the words ‘THE WORLD GOES MAD’ shows one by one, and in
between are shots of some of the characters in the film in action. Instantly, this tells the
audience on what type of genre the film is based on – which is action/thrill. This is because the
‘world’ and ‘mad’ gives the viewers a quick glimpse of what to imagine, as typically in movies,
action based films involve the ‘world’ (as in people and places) and ‘mad’ (the action, the chaos
etc.). Again like mentioned earlier, the text is edited to where it matches the theme of the film.
The gold/yellow colour stands out vibrantly against the dark red.
Below are screen grabs of the characters that were shown in between the texts above. They all
have a scary appearance and unrealistic clothing, so from this mise en scene you can tell that
the film is also set fictionally. Furthermore, the clips taken to use in the teaser are all right in the
middle of the characters fighting/in action, perhaps to give a quick insight to the audience
about what the characters look, act, and how strong they appear to be with the alongside
weapons.
8. Coming towards the end of the teaser, the credits of the main 3 actors/actresses’ name are shown, with a
clip of how they look like. Since it is only a teaser, not much longer scenes of these characters would be
shown, but having their real names along with the role they star in
