1. The first shot is a fade from black to the
first shot of the first character, the
teacher. the voice over at the beginning
turns into him talking as he explains the
situation - how much time is left of their
detention.
The first shot of another character, one of
the main ones.
There continues to be quick second long
shots of each of the characters involved
in the movie, but only very short just to
quickly show to the audience who is in it.
Two shot including two main characters.
Another quick shot.
A voice over starts introducing each of
the main characters.
The voice over does not actually state the
characters names but rather just their
nicknames/stereotypes…
- The Brain
- The Beauty
- The Jock
- The Rebel
- The Recluse
These shots of each of the characters are
on each and slightly longer than the first
time they are shown, because this is
more of an introduction.
Our movie would also have a introduction
to each of the characters like this, but as
well as a voice over, also a credit over
the top with a written version of what their
names are (The Introvert, The Athlete,
The Boffin, The Rebel).
The next few shots show our the
characters get along and get to know
each other with some dialogue
involved and upbeat music.
The teaser trailer starts to reveal more
about the characters and their
personalities begin to show through.
The genre of comedyis also establish
with the dialogue and the pauses in
music.
The next few shots show how the
setting changes throughout the film
and there are different locations that
are involved.
This will be easy for us as we are
filming in the school and there is a
long hallway to film more long distance
shots and stuff like that.
The title of the film is shown here as
three of the characters dance,
showing the comedic side.
A shot of all of the characters running
through the college, also can be easily
done.
More shots involving all the characters
are put into the teaser trailer, this
shows to the audience how the
characters are bonding and becoming
friends.
One line actually says “I consider you
my friends…” revealing how the film
will be about the characters coming
together and telling their stories and
revealing that even though they seem
like stereotypes, they actually are not.
This shot establishes the changes in
characters as the film progresses.
The title is shown again but emphasis
is on it because it is on just a black
screenwith bright red font in capitols.
Our film would also have a large title
credit on a black or coloured screento
make it clear and stand out.
This is the last shot shown with all the
credits on it, as all trailers have at the
end.
