(1, 2, 3, 4) Students could be put in groups and pick an issue to research, such as global warming, pollution, deforestation , poverty, or food shortages and create a short movie that gives the viewer basic background on the issue on a global scale and then details how it affects a specific region or population that we are studying. They could end the movie with ideas for sustainable solutions. They could format the movie in a variety of ways, such as acting, using images and narration, or conducting interviews for solution ideas.

3. 1. Create and publish an online art gallery with examples and commentary that demonstrate an understanding of different historical periods, cultures, and countries. (1, 2) I think it would be a great idea to assign students different artist, culture, country, or historical period and have them create a PowerPoint with a lot of visuals on that subject. They could then be posted online to a class blog, so all of the presentations would be accessible from the same place.

4. 7. Design a Web site that meets accessibility requirements. (1, 5) Students could create their own iGoogle pages, adding gadgets for websites and resources that are relevant to the course material. Another idea would be for them to create their own blogs, or contribute to a class blog. The blog(s) could have their research findings, projects and assignments, etc.

5. 4. Model legal and ethical behaviors when using information and technology by properly selecting, acquiring, and citing resources. (3, 5) In any of the other lesson ideas, there could be a component in which students have to complete a short write-up, for example, a paragraph explaining where/how they found their information and why they believe it to be credible, and then on the Works Cited page correctly cite their sources by using an online citation tool to generate citations.
