Please accept this letter as a testimonial for Christine Stewart.
I have known Christine for six years now. Christine rang me one day to offer
her services in the French Club I was running for 5 to 11 year old children in
Marple Bridge. She had qualifications in French and sounded very enthusiastic
about helping out with young children. I invited her round to meet her and
interview her properly in view of accepting her offer of volunteering. I liked her
straight away. It was evident to me that Christine had a sincere enthusiasm and
passion for the language and a keen interest to work with young children.
She therefore started to help me for a couple of hours each Monday and
Wednesday. Christine had a natural way with children and her gentle and patient
nature made her very popular with the pupils and she was excellent at helping
disruptive pupils refocus on the lessons.
Christine was always consistent in her efforts and very diligent throughout all
the time she worked with me. She showed initiative and great team spirit. We
often discussed the progression of our pupils and how to engage them further
and her ideas were valuable. She certainly knew how to stretch G&T pupils and
support the less able ones.
Any interest in Christine you are able to pursue would be worthwhile in my
opinion. She is honest, hard working and prepared to commit time and energy to
a school committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of their pupils.
