1. USE HANDPHONE AS LEARNING TOOL
 Access to an online dictionary to look up for a word
 Looking for a map
 Checking a fact on the internet
 Allow learners to use the handphone when
participating in classroom activities
- To get new information from the internet
- Share knowledge through their phones
SHORTYLY, WHEN HANDPHONE IS USED AS
LEARNNG TOOL…….
 The tasks can be accomplish quickly and efficiently
on their phones without ever leaving their seats
 Time-saving
2. USE HANDPHONE AS COMMUNICATIVE
TOOL
 Allow learners to use the handphone to communicate
with their parents before examination
- parents’ advice serves as a motivation for them to do
well in the classroom
- Good factor for them to get more serious and
concentrated.
 To inform parents about additional class or school co-
curricular activities
 To inform parents about current needs at school, for
example: money or attires
MISUSED/ NEGATIVE
USAGE OF HANDPHONE
1. Cheating during exam.
2. Playing games during teaching and learning.
3. SMS/texting during the lesson.
4. Browsing inappropriate websites, downloading
inappropriate pictures (pornography, violence)
5. Cyber bullying (email, texting)
MISUSED OF HANDPHONE

1. Distraction to the T&L
(Ringing tones, SMS notification).
- Students lose focus easily.
- Teacher unable to deliver the lesson accordingly
due to the disruption.

- During certain activities’ time
3. Penalty
- School send official letter to parents for information
and agreement
- Punish as community service like librian, teacher’s
assistant or Master of Ceremony of assembly
4. Teacher teaches learners to use handphone
wisely
