LEARNING
MODALITY/IES
The school will adopt numerous learning modalities depending on the current situation in the barangay/municipality to cater to the needs of the leaners and
in adherence to the health protocols issued by the IATF/national government, to wit:
1. FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING/REGULAR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION
 Conduct face-to-face learning/regular classroom instruction by grade level adopting health protocols and if there is zero case of COVID in the
barangay.
 Reduce the number of learners per class by adopting this scheme, where the learners may be divided into 2 groups: Monday & Wednesday – Group 1;
Wednesday & Thursday – Group 2 & Friday – Learn From Home
 Provide allocation of minimal period of time per classes and per subject by proper scheduling.
 Teachers and learners will report to school physically.
 To ensure physical distancing, there is a maximum of 15 learners in classes using table and chairs, and 20 learners in classes using armchairs
 Teachers will use the Daily Lesson Plans (DLPs).
 Learners will use the Learner’s Materials and Textbooks
 Those learners who are off-school will be given learning modules/activity sheets/kits/LMs to be accomplished at home not to create learning gaps.
 Limit/Control the collaborative/group/differentiated activities and the like, or those that will require the learners to go near with each other.
2. BLENDED LEARNING DELIVERY – Apply the following learning delivery modes depending on the current situation and location of the learners:
a. Face-to-Face and Modular Distance Learning – For those learners with no internet connection and those from the far flung places (sitios) and/or other
nearby barangays. Learners will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 for Monday and Tuesday and Group 2 for Wednesday and Thursday, and the rest of
the days that they off-school, they are required to accomplish the LAS/module/kits and other learning materials at home (Learn from Home). Friday is
allotted for checking of LAS/modules/kits given to learners by the teachers.
b. Face-to-Face and Module Distance Learning/TV/Radio-Based Instruction – For those learners with no internet connection but with TV/Radio Transistor
at home. The learners will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 will be in school for 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) and Group 2 is scheduled for another 2
days (Wednesday & Thursday). The learners with TV/ Radio at home will be provided with videos/clips/lessons that can be played through electronic
devices. All activities in the interactive modules/ materials will be accomplished by the learners at end of each lesson. Parents/Guardians/MKOs will
be given orientation and/or training in the school on how they will best assist their children at home through this mode of learning. Modules/LAS/Kits
will also be provided to the learners to keep them on track with the lessons for the week. Submission of modules/kits/LAS will be done on agreed day
by the class advisers/teachers and parents/guardians/MKOs within the week. Friday is scheduled for checking of learners LAS/modules/kits.
c. Face-to-Face and TV/Radio-Based Instruction. For those learners who are unreached by cars/PUVs/motorcycles or any modes of transportation. They
will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 will receive instruction every Monday and Group 2 will receive instruction on Wednesday. The rest of the days
will be TV/Radio-based instruction with the trained parents/guardians/MKOs. All learners will accomplish the learning tasks in the
videos/electronic/TV/radio-based lessons with the guidance of the knowledgeable adults. Tuesday and Thursday are allotted days for the teachers to
design electronic lessons for the next week and Friday is for checking of activities done by the learners. Projects will also be given to the learners
relative to the lessons covered within the quarter.
3. REMOTE LEARNING (MODULAR LEARNING APPROACH). This learning modality will be applied in worst scenario in this time of pandemic. Learners will not
anymore report to school. Learning will take place at home with parents/guardians/MKOs/tutors/older siblings. Projects will be given to the learners using
community resources/materials. Teachers prepare and distribute printed modules with the help of the barangay officials or through the designated drop-off
centers like outposts, barangay hall, learning center, chapel or any available facility of the barangay. These modules will be retrieved at a given schedule from
these centers. Teachers check the learners’ outputs and give feedback.
4. HOMESCHOOLING. This is the very least option of the school to be implemented if the scenario worsens in this time of pandemic and, if there is no other
options to deliver basic education to the learners. This means that learners will not anymore report to school and modules/LAS/kits will be distributed by
teachers in the drop-off centers within the barangay. Instructions will be provided by the parents/MKOs/tutors/older siblings as may deemed necessary.
Retrieval of distributed learning materials will be done weekly for checking and feed backing to the assigned centers.
 Project-Based Learning Approach. This will be applied in face-to-face, blended and remote learning modalities. Teachers will give projects to the
learners utilizing family/community resources. This will be applied to deepen understanding, develop creative and critical thinking skills, problem
solving and totally engaged learners in blended and remote learning modalities. Projects will be submitted in the drop-off centers within the
barangay. Teachers will check and provide feedback to the learners’ outputs.
 Flexible assessment-based strategies will be applied in all modalities of learning to ensure accessible, quality, relevant and liberating basic education

  • 4. LEARNING MODALITY/IES The school will adopt numerous learning modalities depending on the current situation in the barangay/municipality to cater to the needs of the leaners and in adherence to the health protocols issued by the IATF/national government, to wit: 1. FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING/REGULAR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION  Conduct face-to-face learning/regular classroom instruction by grade level adopting health protocols and if there is zero case of COVID in the barangay.  Reduce the number of learners per class by adopting this scheme, where the learners may be divided into 2 groups: Monday & Wednesday – Group 1; Wednesday & Thursday – Group 2 & Friday – Learn From Home  Provide allocation of minimal period of time per classes and per subject by proper scheduling.  Teachers and learners will report to school physically.  To ensure physical distancing, there is a maximum of 15 learners in classes using table and chairs, and 20 learners in classes using armchairs  Teachers will use the Daily Lesson Plans (DLPs).  Learners will use the Learner’s Materials and Textbooks  Those learners who are off-school will be given learning modules/activity sheets/kits/LMs to be accomplished at home not to create learning gaps.  Limit/Control the collaborative/group/differentiated activities and the like, or those that will require the learners to go near with each other. 2. BLENDED LEARNING DELIVERY – Apply the following learning delivery modes depending on the current situation and location of the learners: a. Face-to-Face and Modular Distance Learning – For those learners with no internet connection and those from the far flung places (sitios) and/or other nearby barangays. Learners will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 for Monday and Tuesday and Group 2 for Wednesday and Thursday, and the rest of the days that they off-school, they are required to accomplish the LAS/module/kits and other learning materials at home (Learn from Home). Friday is allotted for checking of LAS/modules/kits given to learners by the teachers. b. Face-to-Face and Module Distance Learning/TV/Radio-Based Instruction – For those learners with no internet connection but with TV/Radio Transistor at home. The learners will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 will be in school for 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) and Group 2 is scheduled for another 2 days (Wednesday & Thursday). The learners with TV/ Radio at home will be provided with videos/clips/lessons that can be played through electronic devices. All activities in the interactive modules/ materials will be accomplished by the learners at end of each lesson. Parents/Guardians/MKOs will be given orientation and/or training in the school on how they will best assist their children at home through this mode of learning. Modules/LAS/Kits will also be provided to the learners to keep them on track with the lessons for the week. Submission of modules/kits/LAS will be done on agreed day by the class advisers/teachers and parents/guardians/MKOs within the week. Friday is scheduled for checking of learners LAS/modules/kits. c. Face-to-Face and TV/Radio-Based Instruction. For those learners who are unreached by cars/PUVs/motorcycles or any modes of transportation. They will be divided into 2 groups – Group 1 will receive instruction every Monday and Group 2 will receive instruction on Wednesday. The rest of the days will be TV/Radio-based instruction with the trained parents/guardians/MKOs. All learners will accomplish the learning tasks in the videos/electronic/TV/radio-based lessons with the guidance of the knowledgeable adults. Tuesday and Thursday are allotted days for the teachers to design electronic lessons for the next week and Friday is for checking of activities done by the learners. Projects will also be given to the learners relative to the lessons covered within the quarter. 3. REMOTE LEARNING (MODULAR LEARNING APPROACH). This learning modality will be applied in worst scenario in this time of pandemic. Learners will not anymore report to school. Learning will take place at home with parents/guardians/MKOs/tutors/older siblings. Projects will be given to the learners using community resources/materials. Teachers prepare and distribute printed modules with the help of the barangay officials or through the designated drop-off centers like outposts, barangay hall, learning center, chapel or any available facility of the barangay. These modules will be retrieved at a given schedule from these centers. Teachers check the learners’ outputs and give feedback. 4. HOMESCHOOLING. This is the very least option of the school to be implemented if the scenario worsens in this time of pandemic and, if there is no other options to deliver basic education to the learners. This means that learners will not anymore report to school and modules/LAS/kits will be distributed by teachers in the drop-off centers within the barangay. Teachers will give projects to the learners utilizing family/community resources. This will be applied to deepen understanding, develop creative and critical thinking skills, problem solving and totally engaged learners in blended and remote learning modalities. Projects will be submitted in the drop-off centers within the barangay. Teachers will check and provide feedback to the learners’ outputs.  Flexible assessment-based strategies will be applied in all modalities of learning to ensure accessible, quality, relevant and liberating basic education August 24, 2020- December (Adjustment shall be made in January 2021 if other modalities may be applied depending on the situation) School Principal Grade Deans Class Advisers/Teachers School ICT Coordinator PTA Officers Parents More Knowledgeable Others (MKOs) Local Funds/ School MOOE
