Martin Luther King Jr. had many accomplishments such as being the youngest man to receive the Nobel Peace Prize and giving his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington D.C. to a crowd of over 250,000 people, half of whom were African American. He faced many challenges and obstacles, such as being jailed 20 times for speaking out against segregation and having his family's safety threatened by a firebombing of his house. King was married to Coretta Scott King and had four children despite facing resistance to his efforts to end racial segregation and promote civil rights.
