2. The film is based on a teen who grew up in
the slums in Mumbai. He becomes a
contestant on the Indian version of "Who
Wants To Be A Millionaire?“.
He is arrested under suspicion of cheating as
he knew all the answers and wasn’t educated.
While being interrogated, events from his life
history are shown which explain why he knows
the answers.

3. Showed trailers on Film 4 and channel 4, as
these companies were behind the creation
of the film, they then expanded their target
audience by trailers on Sky, ITV and famous
channels.
They also had other marketing such as
posters, websites, billboards, interviews and
internet advertisements.

4. The film had a small budget of $15 million.

5. Warner Independent Pictures acquired the
North American rights, but as they shut
down, this was transferred to Warner Bros.
Pathe acquired the international rights to
distribute Slumdog Millionaire theatrically
It has been released in Australia, North
America, Europe, India and Asia-Pacific.

has a parent company that owns multiple
companies across different stages of the film
industry.
Slumdog Millionaires Production Company is not
a subsidiary of a larger company as it has one
production company that produced the movie.
There are no signs of horizontal integration
between Slumdog millionaire's production
company and distributor as they have production
distribution and exhibition.
