As role models, teachers should demonstrate self-confidence, excellent appearance, good health, intelligence, high character, a sense of humor, punctuality, optimism, fairness, sympathy, and a willingness to learn. Additionally, teachers should model for students respect, responsibility, courage, obedience, patriotism, cleanliness, good manners, truthfulness, and hopefulness. Finally, as role models, teachers must demonstrate strong ethics in their relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, parents, staff, the community, and their profession.
