The COSHH & RIDDOR training course is aimed at raising awareness of the importance
of COSHH & RIDDOR. The COSHH regulations (2002) and RIDDOR regulations are
designed to protect people against risks to their health when dealing with or being
exposed to hazardous substances. Staff undertaking this COSHH & RIDDOR course will
have the knowledge and understanding of the below issues and therefore will be able
to implement this in their specific work area. The course is designed for candidates
who handle chemicals as part of their daily work. This course is ideal for an induction or
refresher to the new regulations. By attending this course you will demonstrate a basic
understanding of the COSHH & RIDDOR regulations. The learner will have a general
knowledge of the Risk Assessment process and explain what is meant by a hazardous
substance and be able to gain knowledge and understanding of RIDDOR.
