Binoy Viswam, a Member of Parliament, writes to Pralhad Joshi, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, regarding the suspension of 12 opposition MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Viswam expresses that the opposition has demanded a resolution to allow discussions on issues impacting citizens. However, the government waited until late in the session to initiate talks. Viswam also notes that the government is incorrectly attempting to divide the opposition by only calling some party leaders for the meeting. The opposition has been united in calling for the suspensions to be revoked.

Respected Shri Pralhad Joshi ji,
Since the suspension of 12 MPs on the first day of the present session, the entire
opposition has demanded that the issue be resolved at the earliest in order for the
Rajya Sabha to function smoothly and discuss issues affecting the common
person. After having let the stalemate progress for the majority of the session, it
is unfortunate that the Government has chosen to only now initiate talks with the
opposition towards the end of the session.
Further, the Government is now attempting to divide the Opposition by only
calling leaders of some parties for this meeting. This is extremely incorrect and
shows the Governments insincerity in finding an actual resolution to the current
stalemate.
I must remind you that the Opposition has been united since the first day of this
struggle and will continue to be so till the suspension is revoked.
