Project: Retrofit of 2 nos Drag Chain
Conveyor(of M/s Mahindra Conveyor)
with RUD Forky Chain from plate link
chain.
Description of the problem:
•Chain was breaking very frequently and
due to frequent stopage resulting in
Heavy production losses.
•User weld the broken scrapper bar to
plate link chain and then run the
conveyor but still the within few hours of
operation the scrapper breaks again
•To tensioning to tension unit

2. RUD Solution:
Measurement taken at the site and RUD India
Propose to provide complete new chain, Head
and Tail Sprockets with new shafts and bearing,
Tail unit assembly with Tensioning unit keeping
the head unit and intermediate casing existing.
Result:
•One DCC retrofitted in Feb 2013 and second one
in Apr 2013
•As the PCD of the wheels changed, thus new
gearmotor with new output rpm was installed by
customer.
