Code of Conduct to Avoid Bullying in School
A. Before Coming to School, the learner…
1. Opens the day with a prayer for God’s protection, guidance and direction
2. Sees to it that the attire for school is complete and ID is worn properly and has all the materials needed for

3. Leaves the house early so as to arrive early or in time for flag raising ceremony every Monday

L. On Bulletin Boards
It is the duty of every studentto read announcements and notices posted on the bulletin boards
and to safeguard these publications from being tampered or vandalized.
Duties and Responsibilities of Pupils and Learners
Students and learners shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
A. Comply with the school’s regulations, as long as they are in harmony with their best interests. Pupils and
learners shall refrain from:
a. Engaging in discrimination, or leading a group of pupils or students to discriminate another, with
reference to one’s physical appearance, weaknesses and status of any sort;
b. Doing any act that is inappropriate or sexually provocative;
c. Participating in behavior of other pupils that is illegal, unsafe or abusive;
d. Marking or damaging school property, including books, in any way;
e. Engaging in fights or any aggressive behavior;
f. Introducing into the school premises or otherwise possessing prohibited articles, such as deadly weapons
drugs, alcohol, toxic and noxious substances, cigarettes and pornographic material; and
g. Performing other similar acts that cause damage or injury to another.
B. Conduct themselves in accordance with their levels ofdevelopment, maturity, and demonstrated capabilities,
with a proper regard for the rights and welfare of other persons;
C. Respectanother person’s rights regardless ofopinion, status, gender ethnicity, religion, as well as everyone’s
moral and physical integrity; and
D. Observe the Code of Conduct for students and learners.

Rules and Regulations
1. A pupil is not allowed to leave the school premises even for a shorttime during class hours. However, he/she
may secure a student locator slip in emergency cases with the consent of the parent/guardian.
2. Pupils without classes must not loiter in the hallways, at the corridors, or in empty classrooms. They may
study in the library or stay in the learner center and prepare for the next class.
3. Parents/legal guardians may take a student out of the school only for an urgent reason. A permission
signed by the principal / adviser mustbe secured before leaving the campus. The school is notresponsible
for students who leave the campus with or without permission. Therefore, parents/legal guardians have
accepted the responsibility of looking after of the students’ safety while in their custody.
4. The school shall only be responsible for its learners during class hours and other activities sanctioned by
the school.
Campus Security
1. Only bonafide pupils of the school shall be allowed inside the school campus.
2. No visitor shall be allowed inside the campus during school hours exceptfor valid reasons. Visitors
shall be required to sign the logbook of the security service and fill out the entry slip.
3. Teachers shall confer with parents/guardians or entertain visitors during their off period.
4. No pupil or visitor shall be allowed inside the school building and the premises after the last class
period has ended or during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays except when there are schoolactivities
held during these days.
5. Visitors and parents mustsign-in and outwhen entering orleaving the campus.Alogbookis provided
at the guardhouse.
6. Bonafide pupils must at all times wear their complete uniforms including IDs. Proper haircut is also
required to facilitate identification ofstudents to ensure their safety and security. Proper attire should
also be observed even during wash days throughout the school year.
Rights and Duties of Parents
As provided under Articles 220, 221, and 225 ofthe Family Code ofthe Philippines, the parents have the
following rights and duties for children below 18 years of age:
1. To keep them in their company;
2. To support, educate, and instruct them by right precept and good example;
3. To provide for their upbringing in keeping with their means;
4. To give them love and affection, advice and counsel, companionship and understanding;

5. To provide them with moral and spiritual guidance;
6. To inculcate in them honesty, integrity, self-discipline, self-reliance, industry, and thrift;
7. To stimulate their interest in civic affairs;
8. To inspire in them compliance with the duties of citizenship;
9. To enhance, protect, preserve, and maintain their physical and mental health at all times;
10. To furnish them with good and wholesome educational materials;
11. To supervise their activities, recreation, and association with others;
12. To protect them from bad company;
13. To prevent them from acquiring habits detrimental to their health, studies, and morals;
14. To represent them in all matters affecting their interests;
15. To demand from them respect and obedience;
16. To impose discipline on them as may be required under the circumstances;
17. To be civilly liable for the injuries and damages caused by the acts and omissions oftheir emancipated
children living in their company and under their parental authority subject to the appropriate defenses
provided by law;
18. To jointly exercise legal guardianship over the property of their emancipated common children without
the necessity of a court appointment;
19. To perform such other duties as are imposed by law upon parents.
Definition of Bullying and other Related Terms
As used in the IRR of Anti-bullying Act of 2013, this student handbook hereby defines the following terms:
a. “Act” refers to Republic Act No. 10627, otherwise known as the “Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.
b. “Bullying” refers to any severe,orrepeated use by oneormore students ofa written, verbalorelectronic
expression, or a physical actor gesture, or any combination thereof, directed atanother student that has
the effect of actually causing or placing the latter in reasonable fear of physical or emotional harm or
damage to his property; creating a hostile environmentat school for the other student; infringing on the
rights of another student at school; or materially and substantially disrupting the education process or the
orderly operation of a school; such as, but not limited to, the following:
1. Any unwanted physical contact between the bully and victim like punching, pushing pupil,
shoving, kicking, slapping,tickling, headlocks, inflicting school pranks, teasing, fighting and
the use of available objects as weapons;
2. Any act that causes damage to a victim’s psyche and/or emotional well-being;
3. Any slanderous statementor accusation that causes the victim undue emotional distress like
directing foul language or profanity at the target, name-calling, tormenting and commenting
negatively on victim’s looks, clothes and body;
4. “Cyber-bullying” or any bullying done through the use of technology or any electronic
means. The term shall also include any conduct resulting to harassment, intimidation, or
humiliation, through the use ofother forms of technology, such as, butnot limited to texting,
email, instant messaging, chatting, internet, social media, online games, other platforms or
formats.

5. Any other forms of bullying as maybe provided in the school’s Child Protection and Anti-
Bullying Policy.
The term “bullying” shall also include:
1. “Social bullying” – refers to any deliberate, repetitive and aggressive social behavior intended to
hurt others or to belittle another individual or group.
2. “Gender-based bullying” refers to any act that humiliates or excludes a person on the basis of
perceived or actual sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).
c. “Bully” – refers to any students who commits acts of bullying.
d. “Bullied” or “Victim” – refers to any student who experiences the acts of bullying or retaliation.
e. “Bystander” – refers to any personwho witnesses orhas personalknowledgeofany actual or perceived
acts or incidents of bullying or retaliation.
f. “Learning Center” – refers to learning resources and facilities of a learning program for out-of-school
youth and adults.
g. “Service provider” refers to any person who is not a teacher or school personnel butwho works in the
school, such as, butnotlimited to, security guards, canteen personnel, utility workers, and transportation
service personnel.
h. “Student” refers to a person who attends classes in any level of basic education, which includes a
student or learner.
Prohibited Acts
The following are strictly prohibited by the school:
 gross misconduct
 cheating and stealing
 assaulting a teacher or any other authority or his agents or students
 smoking inside the school premises
 vandalism, writing on or destroying school property like chairs, tables, windows, books, laborato ry
equipment and others
 gambling of any sort
 drinking intoxicants and liquor
 carrying and concealing deadly weapons
 extortion or asking money from others
 fighting causing injury to others
 using, possessing and selling of prohibited drugs
 hazing in any form or manner whether inside or outside the school premises
 immorality or sexual harassment
 instigating, leading or participating in concerted activities leading to stoppage of classes

 preventing, threatening students or faculty members or school authorities from discharging their duties
or from attending classes or entering school premises
 forging or tampering with school records or transfer forms
 joining gangs and other organizations unrecognized by law
Consistent with Section 3 of the Anti-Bullying Act, the school strictly prohibits the following acts:
1. Bullying at the following:
a. school grounds
b. property immediately adjacent to school grounds
c.school-sponsored orschool-related activities,functions or programs whether on or offschoolgrounds;
d. school bus stops;
e. school buses or other vehicles owned, leased or used by a school;
f. school buses or school services privately-owned but accredited by the school.
2. Bullying through the use oftechnology or an electronic device or other forms of media owned,leased or used
by a school.
3. Bullying at a location, activity, function or program that is not school-related and through the use of
technology or an electronic device or other forms ofmedia thatis notowned, leased or used by a school; and
4. Retaliation against a person who reports bullying,who provides information during an investigation ofbullying,
or who is a witness to or has reliable information about bullying.
Rules for Effective Study
1. Make a schedule of your time.
2. Do not attempt to join too many kinds of campus activities or your school work will suffer.
3. Study in one particular place that is quiet and well-lighted (diffused lighting is best).
4. Keep the top of your desk clear of distracting clutter (pictures, magazines, etc.).
5. Take short rests during long study sessions.
6. When you study, work to your maximum ability.
7. Start studying as soon as you sit down.
8. Develop mind set.
9. Always make preliminary survey of your assignment before reading the details.
10. Determine what you are trying to learn. Ask yourself: What is it for? How does it happen?
11. Remember that the type in which headings are printed is a clue to the importance of the materials.
12. Study all graphs, drawing and tables because they are placed in the text for a purpose.
13. Be sure you know all the meaning of all technical words in the text.
14. Always find the main thought of the paragraph.
15. Try to associate the ideas ofthe paragraphs and chapters of your assignmentwith previous knowledge and
experiences.
16. Keep your mind open to new ideas.
17. After studying the lesson, carefully summarize the content in your own words
18. Use an abbreviated outline form when taking down notes.
19. Do not try to write down the exact words of the teacher during discussion.

20. Keep all notes on one subject together.
21. Devote one hour a week to review each subject.
22. If certain subject matter must be memorized, do not try to do it all at one time.
23. It is generally better to learn from, or memorize the whole before the details.
24. Apply everything you learn as early and as often as possible.
25. During examination week, maintain regular study habits and get enough sleep.
26. When taking a test, be sure to read all questions before answering any;outline the answers to essay questions
before attempting to write them out.
27. When in class, pay attention to what is going on or you will miss important part of the teacher’s explanation
of the lesson.
28. Do not miss classes just because you feel that you can’t make up for the work.
29. Do not hesitate to ask your teacher for help if you really need it.
30. Remember thatteachers have their likes/dislikes.Study your teachers; partofbeing a good studentis finding
out exactly what the teacher wants.
Study Skills
A pupil who studies well:
1. brings notebook, paper, pen or pencil, and other materials to the class
2. is an active participant in the classroom; listens well; takes part in the discussion
3. asks questions if he/she doesn’t understand the discussion or when he/she has a problem
4. plans his work and schedules time for homework each day; makes sure he/she understands the assignment
before leaving the class
5. uses what he/she learns; sees how subject applies to other subjects. and
6. strives to do his/her best
How to Take a Test
1. Relax and concentrate.
2. Read and follow directions carefully.
3. Survey test questions to apportion your time.
4. Read each question twice before answering.
5. Think before you write the answers.
6. Answer questions correctly.
7. Review answers for spelling and grammar before
turning the paper in.

A pupil is not allowed to leave the school premises even for a shorttime during class hours. However, he/she may secure a student locator slip in emergency cases with the consent of the parent/guardian. 2. Pupils without classes must not loiter in the hallways, at the corridors, or in empty classrooms. They may study in the library or stay in the learner center and prepare for the next class. 3. Parents/legal guardians may take a student out of the school only for an urgent reason. A permission signed by the principal / adviser mustbe secured before leaving the campus. The school is notresponsible for students who leave the campus with or without permission. Therefore, parents/legal guardians have accepted the responsibility of looking after of the students’ safety while in their custody. 4. The school shall only be responsible for its learners during class hours and other activities sanctioned by the school. Campus Security 1. Only bonafide pupils of the school shall be allowed inside the school campus. 2. No visitor shall be allowed inside the campus during school hours exceptfor valid reasons. Visitors shall be required to sign the logbook of the security service and fill out the entry slip. 3. Teachers shall confer with parents/guardians or entertain visitors during their off period. 4. No pupil or visitor shall be allowed inside the school building and the premises after the last class period has ended or during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays except when there are schoolactivities held during these days. 5. To demand from them respect and obedience; 16. To impose discipline on them as may be required under the circumstances; 17. To be civilly liable for the injuries and damages caused by the acts and omissions oftheir emancipated children living in their company and under their parental authority subject to the appropriate defenses provided by law; 18. To jointly exercise legal guardianship over the property of their emancipated common children without the necessity of a court appointment; 19. To perform such other duties as are imposed by law upon parents. Definition of Bullying and other Related Terms As used in the IRR of Anti-bullying Act of 2013, this student handbook hereby defines the following terms: a. “Act” refers to Republic Act No. 10627, otherwise known as the “Anti-Bullying Act of 2013. b. “Bullying” refers to any severe,orrepeated use by oneormore students ofa written, verbalorelectronic expression, or a physical actor gesture, or any combination thereof, directed atanother student that has the effect of actually causing or placing the latter in reasonable fear of physical or emotional harm or damage to his property; creating a hostile environmentat school for the other student; infringing on the rights of another student at school; or materially and substantially disrupting the education process or the orderly operation of a school; such as, but not limited to, the following: 1. Any unwanted physical contact between the bully and victim like punching, pushing pupil, shoving, kicking, slapping,tickling, headlocks, inflicting school pranks, teasing, fighting and the use of available objects as weapons; 2. Any act that causes damage to a victim’s psyche and/or emotional well-being; 3. Any slanderous statementor accusation that causes the victim undue emotional distress like directing foul language or profanity at the target, name-calling, tormenting and commenting negatively on victim’s looks, clothes and body; 4. “Cyber-bullying” or any bullying done through the use of technology or any electronic means. The term shall also include any conduct resulting to harassment, intimidation, or humiliation, through the use ofother forms of technology, such as, butnot limited to texting, email, instant messaging, chatting, internet, social media, online games, other platforms or formats.

Any other forms of bullying as maybe provided in the school’s Child Protection and Anti- Bullying Policy. The term “bullying” shall also include: 1. “Social bullying” – refers to any deliberate, repetitive and aggressive social behavior intended to hurt others or to belittle another individual or group. 2. “Gender-based bullying” refers to any act that humiliates or excludes a person on the basis of perceived or actual sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI). c. “Bully” – refers to any students who commits acts of bullying. d. “Bullied” or “Victim” – refers to any student who experiences the acts of bullying or retaliation. e. “Bystander” – refers to any personwho witnesses orhas personalknowledgeofany actual or perceived acts or incidents of bullying or retaliation. f. “Learning Center” – refers to learning resources and facilities of a learning program for out-of-school youth and adults. g. “Service provider” refers to any person who is not a teacher or school personnel butwho works in the school, such as, butnotlimited to, security guards, canteen personnel, utility workers, and transportation service personnel. h. “Student” refers to a person who attends classes in any level of basic education, which includes a student or learner. Rules for Effective Study 1. Make a schedule of your time. 2. Do not attempt to join too many kinds of campus activities or your school work will suffer. 3. Study in one particular place that is quiet and well-lighted (diffused lighting is best). 4. Keep the top of your desk clear of distracting clutter (pictures, magazines, etc.). 5. Take short rests during long study sessions. 6. When you study, work to your maximum ability. 7. Start studying as soon as you sit down. 8. Develop mind set. 9. Always make preliminary survey of your assignment before reading the details. 10. Determine what you are trying to learn. Ask yourself: What is it for? How does it happen? 11. Remember that the type in which headings are printed is a clue to the importance of the materials. 12. Study all graphs, drawing and tables because they are placed in the text for a purpose. 13. Be sure you know all the meaning of all technical words in the text. 14. Always find the main thought of the paragraph. 15. Try to associate the ideas ofthe paragraphs and chapters of your assignmentwith previous knowledge and experiences. 16. Keep your mind open to new ideas. 17. After studying the lesson, carefully summarize the content in your own words 18. Use an abbreviated outline form when taking down notes. 19.
