2. Housing
Yanji does not have any real estate agents to provide professional help for buying and selling
houses. Therefore, you must personally look around the city to find a house. In most cases,
houses are available for rent for up to one year, six months, three months or for monthly rent.
They have signs with a phone number on the windows for people looking for housing. This way,
you can contact the owner of the house to personally meet them and if you want, sign the
contract.
The monthly rent for an average 80-100 m2 home (2 rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 living
room) ranges from 1,000 to 1,500 CNY. Prices may vary depending on location and
environment.
Electricity, water, and gas bills need to be paid monthly by the resident.

3. Payment Methods for Public Utility Charges
A. Water and Electricity
After signing the rental contract with the owner of the house, you will receive a card for
the water bill and a bankbook for the electricity charges. When all this is done, make sure to
check where the payments must be made.
The payment method for water charges differs according to each district. Therefore it is
important to discuss the method and place to make the payment when signing the rental
contract.
For a standard 80m2 house, the monthly electricity charge is about 100~150CNY. On
approximately the 15th of every month, a bill will be placed on either the door or on the
electricity usage indicator in front of the door. Once you receive the bill, you can make
the payment by taking the bill as well as the bankbook to the closest post office or Jilin
Bank.
B. Gas
If you use city gas, a bill will be attached to your door on the same day of every month.
If you have a Bank of Communications card for gas payments, you can pay your bill at
the Bank of Communications. However, if you do not have this card, you must
personally take the bill to the Yanbian (Changchun) Gas Company located behind Shin
La Won (Chinese pinyin: Xin Luo Yuan) to pay.
You may also use bottled gas which hooks up to your double or single burner. You
should call ---------- to have the technician come to pick up your bottle to refill it then he
will return it to you later.
4. Internet

internet. These 2 companies are:

contract, you may have to pay 1,000CNY for the deposit and telephone subscription fee.
[Procedures]
