1. Hi to all of you. The country in which I was born is Egypt. Egypt is in North Africa. Egypt is one of the most populous countries in Africa and the Middle East. It has a population of 79 millions aproximatly and the great majority of them live near the banks of the Nile River.

2. Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments, including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx. Its ancient ruins, such as those of Memphis, Thebes, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, are a significant focus of archaeological study, and artefacts from these sites are now displayed in major museums around the world.

3. The official language of the Egyptian republic is literary Arabic. The spoken languages are: Egyptian Arabic (68%), Sa'idi Arabic (29%), Eastern Egyptian Bedawi Arabic (1.6%), SudaneseArabic (0.6%), Domari (0.3%), Nobiin (0.3%), Beja (0.1%), Siwi and others. Additionally, Greek, Armenian and Italian are the main languages of immigrants. The main taught foreign languages in schools are English, French and German.

4. Temperature average is between 27 °C and 32 °C in summer, and up to 43 °C on the Red Sea coast. Winter temperature average is between 13 °C and 21 °C.

5. Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country with Islam as its state religion. Around 90% of the population are identified as Muslim. There is also a minority of Chrisitians and Baha’i, which is another type of religion.
