- 2. What is it?… a microblogging service, like Twitter, it allows users to post updates of their activities, follow others updates, tag content, and create memes. Unlike Twitter, Yammer focuses on businesses, and only individuals with the same email domain can join a given network Yammer is … Definition The purpose is to allow co-workers to share status updates. You post updates on what you are working on. You can post news, links, ask questions, and get answers for people in your company. You can see most the most prolific people and the most followed people. It is a good way to discover who is the most influential in your company. What can you do with it?
- 3. 1. Time tojoin! Go to http://www.yammer.com Enter your @company.com email adress and press the ‘join’ button. What to do? Step 2 Go to your inbox, you have got mail!
- 4. 2. Activate youraccount Go to your inbox Open the email from Yammer (sometimes it ends up in your Junk mail folder!) Click on the link to activate your account What to do? The email you were waiting for The link you can click to activate your account
- 5. 3. Create yourprofile Add your name, your job title, password and picture Be a bit more descriptive than “senior consultant” with your job title. People are interested in what you do! Your password does not have to be equal to your AD password. Yammer is a separate service. A picture is nice.
