Hierarchy of management that covers different levels of management

1. Studying is a skill. Being successful in school requires a high level of
study skills. Students must first learn these skills, practice them and develop
effective study habits in order to be successful. Very often the study habits and
practices developed and used in high school do not work for students in
college. Good study habits include many different skills: time management,
self-discipline, concentration, memorization, organization, and effort. Desire to
succeed is important, too.
Knowing how you learn best is the first step in developing effective
study habits. Every student approaches the task of learning differently. Every
student has a unique and personal learning style or a preferred channel through
which learning comes more easily.
The following independent variables were considered: the students’ profile in
terms of their parental involvement family monthly income, learning styles, academic
performances, environment and their attitude. These are considered as the nurturing social
environment and in one way or other these may influence the study habit of the students.
The key to becoming an effective student is learning how to study smarter, not harder.
